We moved to Redding 9 years ago. I did extensive research prior to our move on the best school and purchased our home based on that. I've never regretted that decision. My oldest daughter started at Grant in the 3rd grade and is now a senior at Shasta HS. My youngest is now in 4th grade. What I love about Grant is that the staff and teachers really care about the students. The quality of education is beyond reproach and they are consistently making strides to improve. The extra curricular activities your child can participate in will amaze you. Band, choir, musicals, sports, Odyssey of the Mind, just to mention a few. We don't have the bells and whistles of some of the new charter schools being funded by big money, however, Grant has remained on top of the list academically. There is a good reason for that. We have very involved families who also give of their time to the school. We're not talking about one or two families, we have many, many families.

I have two kids in Grant elementary, we've been there for 4 years now. My kids have loved their school and I have been very happy with the teachers and the parental involvement.

Love the school. This is our third school in the Redding area, because we have moved. We will not leave the Redding area. While the other schools were fine, Grant is an exceptional environment. The academics still include the fun stuff... science experiments, theme days, field trips and projects. All three of my kids enjoy going and made friends quickly. I wake them up each morning telling them something fun that is going to happen. Thanks Grant!
