My family’s satisfaction with St. Joseph’s increases every year. We have never had a single complaint about St. Joseph’s and somehow we find ourselves happier each year. My children play sports with kids from the other schools in Redding, both public and private. I swear, I am being completely unbiased when I say that there is a HUGE difference between St. Joseph’s students and the children from other schools. St. Joseph’s provides top tier education keeping our kids ahead of all of the other students in our area. Not only are these kids incredibly smart, but their character is phenomenal. They treat everyone with respect, they can hold a conversation with adults without getting awkward, they stay out of trouble and are great with their peers and those younger than them. Sending my kids to St. Joseph’s is so worth it. There is no school that even comes close to how amazing St. Joseph’s is.

We could not be more pleased with St. Joseph School. As parents, we have a choice to send our children to the school that best suits them. Our kiddos love the extracurricular activities like Chess Club and Drama Club. There is a choir and a school band. The athletic program offers a wide variety of sports and the campus itself is a gem. There is ample outdoor space complete with a playground and several athletic fields. The teachers truly care and communication with parents is impressive. We enjoy being a part of the SJS community and cannot imagine being anywhere else.

Our kids really love this school. It is more work/money for the average family BUT you see your kids talking about STEM projects, or that they got to read at mass, not to mention how they have improved academically since being there(after the initial catch up to the class period from public school class work which can be a bit tough but worth it). It's a less hectic environment then same grade public school. PLUS my kids do not have to fear being sent to the office for talking about God! So yes there is an investment of parent time and money but if you can pull it IS well worth for kids getting an overall well rounded education.

I chose this school to send my children to for the quality of education and for the family-feel of the school. In addition, when I fall short in teaching my child to be a good citizen, this school fills in the gaps. The teachers, principal, and office staff are always available when you need them. They listen to you and are receptive to your needs. This school also has a great curriculum to encourage public speaking, including reciting poetry, class musicals, and reading at mass. Project Lead the Way and ALEKS are two great programs that the school has started in the past couple of years.

Our four children have received an excellent academic education at St. Joseph School. Beyond this though, they have benefitted from a kind and caring community of teachers, parents and students. The school has instilled values of hard work, respect of self and others and service to the community. All of our children are confident public speakers as a result of the performing arts opportunities that started in Kindergarten. The faculty and administration have supported our children, whether they be high achievers or students with learning differences. Overall, we have found St. Joseph to be a caring and safe community where our children have been nurtured as they developed the character and skills needed to be successful young adults.

Awesome School!!! Highly recommended. Teachers and staff are kind and great disciplinarians! Wonderful communication, great activities, and everyone is so close. The patience and love they teach is spread throughout the school. Every age seems to interact with each other and the respect and manners of the student body is unbelievable!!! The staff is extremely helpful. We LOVE each teacher so far...

St Joseph School of Redding, CA. is an excellent school! My wife and I have sent two of our boys through St Joseph School and we plan on sending two more as soon as they are old enough. The teachers are friendly, dedicated and always available to help the students and guide the parents when necessary. Contact with the teachers has always been easy as they have provided home phone numbers and email addresses. If my wife or I are not available to care for our children the next best option is the Teachers and Staff of St Joseph School. Before and After school care is great as it is offered very early in the morning and into the evening. The school also offers successful sports programs which include Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Track and others. Parental involvement, which is always necessary in a successful school program, is phenomenal! I have never met a more dedicated group of parents in my life. Contrary to what the poster from 2004 said I have seen no catering to the wealthy parents. The school bends over backwards to make everyone feel welcome and needed.
