I am very pleased with this school. I really was wary about sending my son to a public school but now know this was meant for him to be at.

We've been here for a year and a half and love this school!

We moved to redding last year. My son was pretty far behind, and we had no previous knowledge of ca kindergarten entrance standards. We were blessed to get mrs. Kikut as his teacher. She is firm, but loving. She was so great with him, and helped us learn his way of learning. He did learned so fast and so much. This school offers a tutor of sorts for kids that need a little extra acadimic help. What a difference that made.

I would definitely have to agree with the other parent about the lack of supervision on the playground. My 2nd grader has come home 4 times in 3 months bleeding or with bruises (one on his face) from other kids attacking him. He's not a troublemaker but he keeps finding himself alone in the field with bullies and no adults around! He says there are noon duties but they all hang out together and don't watch what's going on.

This school definately shows how much they care about the kids that go here, The YMCA After School Program led by there fun, great classroom management, athletic, great with the kids worker, Mr. Adam makes after school fun for every one. I can't stop hearing about how much fun the kids have in his group and how the other kids want to be in his group. He is a great role model for our youth of today. I recommend this program if he is still around.

My daughter started this school in 5th grade...we only wish we had put her in Manzanita Elementary sooner. She came from a high tuition Christian school and we found her to be behind in math. So sad that we paid for so long for a sub-standard education, that is supposed to be better than a public education. When we put her here we weren't sure how easily she would make friends, but she really had an easy time of it! She claims that the girls are all really nice and has lots of friends. The teachers are AMAZING!!! She has 4 different teachers because 5th grade rotates classes and they are all terrific, we couldn't ask for a better year and wish that this school went thru 8th!!! Overall, if you are thinking of this school, don't hesitate, you really won't be sorry:)
