Poor communication and transparency. Summit intermediate administration failed to notify parents that they canceled their intramural sport after school program due to wind. Which is understandable. What’s not understandable is how they cannot send out an email or notice to parents. When they can send out an email for fundraisers and testing and everything else to parents throughout various hours of the day and night. I showed up to the school and not seeing my kids in the spot I pick them up in after intramural sports is heartbreaking and frightening. This school and its administrators need to have better communication with parents in making sure we know when sports/activities are canceled bc not everyone child has a cell phone and shouldn’t put that responsibility on children. I’m very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and care for their students and parents.

Good school and good teachers. I am a student there I had good time all the teachers seem nice. There are rarely any fights but if there is they handle it ok. The teachers are the best, they are some a bit very strict but overall the teachers are very patient and wants the best for the student. The activities in the school are fun, we do a field day in the end of every trimester. The school now added intramural sports like basketball and volleyball. The classes are fun like in drama, the class did High School Musical and in Social Studies, we did a sim of feudalism in the medieval Europe. It was fun, I was just a mere peasant. But the dress code is really strict and so are the rules.

Never been impressed with this school. Most of the schools in the area are great, but Summit just hasn’t figured out how to be effective. Maybe they can collaborate with Etiwanda HS and see how they are able to be so organized with 3600 students. Summit faculty has a culture of having a non-caring/defensive attitude. It’s hard to help teachers who are non responsive and not wiling to help their students be successful.

If zero was a rating that’s what I would give them.

Because I had depression during my time in this school, the staff AND students treated me as an enemy. Students kept telling on me for stuff I never even did, and yet, I got in trouble for it. I tried to tell the office about all the ordeals I went through, they requested a psychiatric evaluation instead of just trying to help me. The counselors didn't care about the students. Horrible, dreadful, school.

most of the office staff, teachers and proctors need to stop acting like students are enemy. and some proctors don't dress code students, but rather talk badly about them. the teachers think they can talk badly about a student and call them names, even though they don't have an authority. summit isn't that great tbh. its only good here if you end up with the right teachers.
