My children have been at this school for 4 years. In my opinion it has gone down hill. This year the schools main focus is testing and making sure the students pass state testing. If not they will be retented. My kids have expressed to me how overwhelmed they are and how the teachers do not help them when they ask for help. My student is having issues with one of their teachers and it is taking a toll on them. I was lead to believe this was the "better" school in hoke county. Now im not so sure.

The teachers have been great at this school. The administration has been okay so far. My child has been here since Pre-K. The only teachers we didn't enjoy were those first ones. My child has special needs and they tried to gaslight us. Luckily, I actually have known my child her whole life and it worked out just fine. Halfway through that year, covid happened. Everything was crazy for all of kindergarten and half of 1st but her teachers were amazing both times. Her current teachers are great too. I don't think any schools in North Carolina care one bit about Special needs unless your kid is straight up failing classes though. My oldest had to drop out of high schools here due to their mental and physical illnesses due to a lack of any plans with the school systems around the area (two different ones). Rockfish Hoke Elementary seems to be the best in this particular school system though. We plan on moving before middle school.

Current parent of 2 students at RHE, also an educator. This will be our family’s 3rd year of attendance. I have been very satisfied with the teaching staff and parent communication.

I believe they have had (and may still have) some discriminatory issues. There are some great teachers there but unfortunately, there are some "not so great" teachers as well. Some of the teachers can be arrogant, uncooperative, and unproductive with "certain" parents and students; so beware.

This is a great school to send your children. I would choose this school over many others. They are just in need of some changes to help students become better academically and make school more exciting to attend.

Strong variety of clubs to include chess, robotics, beta club, and math. My kids loved the art program there! Been here for five years and all of my kids teachers, to include the principal, have been amazing.

Teaching only focus on test prep. There is not a consistent curriculum. Limited clubs for students to participate in after school. Poor communication from some of the teachers.

I rated Rockfish Hoke Elementary a five star school because of the location and because the teachers there truly care for their students. I love this school! The teachers are great.

My daughter has attended this school for the past 3 years. I love the teachers and the staff! It's a smaller school so everyone tends to know everyone. The teachers are amazing at collaborating with one another, and work hard to insure your child is successful. I hope that we are here long enough for my daughter to complete her elementary education here.

Great school, great area. Teachers come and go often but replacements seem great. Small school means more attention for our kids. K-5

We are very unhappy with this schools performance. We received a report card in the school and the scores were terrible. While they claim to be improving, I think they have a long way to go before they earn an 8 out of 10. My daughter in is Kindergarden and her teacher is uninvolved, she doesn't participate in the fun activities they have for the little ones (ie. 100 days of school). It's been a frustrating situation her and I'm glad we will be pcsing back to GA for the next school year.

I love this school. The teachers/staff are all very friendly and the kids are all pushed to their best potential (in a good way), my daughter has learned SO much this year alone. The principle really cares for the kids, welcomes them each morning in the halls and knows most of them by name. Big thumbs up for this school.

Absolutely love RHE! The teachers are amazing and do everything they can to make sure the children are striving for their best. Children are pushed to do their best, but not to an "overwhelming" point. Mrs. Dowless, the principal is absolutely wonderful too; You know she really cares for the students! My daughter has went to RHE from PreK to currently 3rd grade (=

I really appreciate this school, they listen to my concerns, strive to make learning more challenging. Mrs. Ashley VP is always checking in around the campus and has addressed previous concerns of mine in a timely manner. The teachers know the children by name and speak to them. Ms. Dallas (Principal) is always smiling and strives to help get the recognition it desirves. The custodial staff even helps children pick up stuff or even tie their shoes when I have seen parents walk by the children. I try to be involved as much as I can but also do not hesitate to call and find out from teachers and the office what can be done to help.

This school is great. The teachers are so nice and will work with you and your child to get to where they need to be. The principle is very friendly and helpful as well. It scored highest in Raeford Elementary schools last yr too.
