I'm sad to say, poor. We moved to this area because of the school district. Stoney Point is more concerned about test scores then they are about the well-being of the students.

I'm only rating the parking and drop off which is horrendous! Whoever designed the plan did a horrible job! I've never seen 1 drop off point at any schools. This school needs to reevaluate their plan, it frustrates the parents and I'm sure the teachers that work out there as well.

Love, love, love Stoney Point!!! The military moved our family to Fayetteville and we couldn't be happier with the school. My child looked forward to school everyday in Mrs. Taormina's class. She was super sweet and welcomed parents into the classroom too. The office staff is always friendly and helpful too!

Great school. They have great caring teachers, they love when parents are involved. Ms. Goetch was so good to my child. She listens, helps, cares for all the children the same, no favoritism. This elementry school is just overall a 10 star for me. We are military, move a lot. I wish there were more schools like Stoney Point, I'm sure there is and I hope we do find one.

Stoney Point is a very good school with caring teachers and staff that know the children by their first names. You can often see the Principle, staff, and teachers eating and shopping in the area and they often say hello. The teachers are caring and love when parents are involved. K often has activities for parents to come in and help. Our third grade teacher, Mrs. Karis is an excellent teacher. She volunteered to have our son stay after school to go over reading in order to pass the EOG test. Everyone goes the extra mile for the students here. Complaints are resolved very quickly. There were a couple of times when I forgot to put money into the lunch account. They still let the kids buy lunch. I couldn't be happier with the whole school, it's staff and teachers.

What brought me to Stoney Point were the reviews, test scores, diversity and location. Now it's my turn to leave a review. My family has 1 kindergartner, and 1 fifth grader. PCS'd (Ft Hood, TX) we enrolled May 2013. My oldest has Dyslexia. The home room teacher was notified of the Dyslexia, she simply told my daughter she did not have to complete all of the assignments, half was okay. I spoke with the teacher and had her explain to me what her thought process was. This tactic was not going to assist my daughter. After the 504 Initial meeting, there were guidelines for the teacher to obide by. Even after guidelines were in place, I do not believe the teacher knew how to properly cope with my daughter's Dyslexia. The assignments were still cut in half as well as regressed to a 3rd grade level of homework (it was too easy!!) We are moving back to Texas. I feel the school has let my daughter down because she was not able to receive the proper care to cope with the Dylexia. My advice, call the school and speak with a liazon, couselor and inform them of your intentions and what you expect of the teacher as well your child. The staff overall are considerate. The pricipal has a tough job!

My kids went to school at Stoney Point for 5 years and it is absolutely a great school; the teachers were very caring and helped my family while i was deployed for almost four years. The comments form the families from the north saying this school is behind is uncalled for. Being a little prejudice it seems. I know a dozen of the teachers and they bent over backwards for us, you just have to ask sometimes. We had a couple of friends with special needs children and they were always happy with how Stoney Point helped them to learn more. This school truly understands how to help children of deployed families and even offered counseling fro my sons when I was deployed. The school had enough academically challenging programs to keep my kids learning, and it has paid off because they attend Carmel River Elem, and Carmel Middle in Carmel, CA. and these schools are very hard. Without the learning skills my kids learned from Stoney Point they would not be doing as well as they are now. for

My two sons attended Stoney Point Elementary 2 & 3 years respectively (oldest son now at 71st Classical middle school), and we could not be happier with the quality of teachers & education. We are a military family & our primary consideration concerning where to live is based on the quality of schools first and foremost. Great Schools.org has never steered us wrong in the last 10-years. I trust the Great Schools Scoring System to identify the best public schools. Stoney Point and the rest of the Jack Britt School District is the highest scoring district in Cumberland County hands down. Stoney Point in particular has excellent teachers who care about their students and their academic success. In particular, Mrs. Phillips was both my sons 4th Grade Teacher and is simply every parents model teacher they wish for their son or daughter. She strives for academic excellence w/o coddling and places emphasis on developing successful, responsible, and respectful children. If your are moving to Fort Bragg and in the process of determining where to live based on your childs education. I highly recommend the Stoney Point and the Jack Britt School District. You will not be disappointed.

My youngest son has attended Stoney Point the last three years and I could not be more pleased. My son has a hearing disability and wears hearing aids bi-laterally. Stoney point has provided excellent support in terms equipment, accomidations and speech therapy. My son attended class with all the other children and has blossomed both academically and socially achieving the A-Honor Roll for the last academic year. The teachers and staff are very caring and treat their students as if they were their own children. I have been in the school on many occassions and the students are well behaved and respectful. If you are a parent that cares about your childs education and learning in a safe and nuturing enviroment, then Stoney Point Elementary School is for your family.
