The people here do absolutely nothing about the bullying problem. There are constant racist comments from students and homophobia from teachers and nothing is done at all. Do not send your children here, PLEASE.

Great catholic based school for pre-school through 8th grade. Caring teachers & staff, multiple recourses, & very involved parents & surrounding community.

I have nothing but admiration for the teachers and administrators at SMA. They've been nothing short of wonderful when it comes to educating my three grandchildren enrolled at SMA. All my interactions with their teachers have been pleasant and positive. No complaints here!

Great school! Knowledgeable and caring teachers and staff. Great buddy program in place. Academically, the school is above average in standardized testing and at the same time, students have a good time, have houses, good sports opportunities. With other parents, there is a clear camaraderie and family sense. Definitely happy we found this catholic school.

We've been part of the school for 4 years. We loved the previous Principal as well as the new one. The teachers in every grade have been great with our children.

My daughter has been at St. Mary since they opened in 2008. Under previous Principal it was a welcoming, structured, healthy environment for learning. It started going down hill the first time Ms. Zettle retired. I believe the Elementary section of the school may still of decent caliber, but the Middle School is a popularity contest between teachers and students overseen by a Principal who allows the teachers to constantly nit pick and berate every student who displeases them for any reason. If that weren't bad enough, if your child struggles with the curriculum, you will need to hire a tutor or be forced to stand by and watch them fail. My daughter became upset over a grade in class the other day and began to cry. Not ONE teacher attempted to comfort her or discover the reason for her distress. I would have pulled her out 2 years ago but our family suffered a serious trauma and at the time I believed she was still emotionally supported. I've repeatedly asked them to communicate any distress or concerns because of the family situation but under the current regime, they don't seem to care about any their students, only their bottom line.

Excellent. It feels like a family. The academic development of my children has been great and the feeling that the schools care so much for my children and the family is just priceless. Growing in the school-church community is also a plus.

My children have been at this school for many years. Over the past three years they have change curriculum. The new format makes very little sense to parents and kids. If the teachers and faculty cannot explain what is expected to parents and kids, no one succeeds. My kids have now become very frustrated with school. I am moving my children to a more motivational system. I would not recommend sending kids to this school.

My kid has turned into a completely different kid since going there. It's like they sucked the life out of him. I just wished I never sent him there.

Our boys are younger - Pre-K and second grade, but we have been at SMA since our oldest was 5 (this is our fourth year). Every year we are more amazed by the wonderful and caring teachers and staff. The education is second to none. Our principal is top-notch/the best there is. Her primary concern is the kids and we are extremely grateful for this. We look forward to keeping our children there until they are ready for high school!

I have a child who recently graduated from Saint Mary Academy and one currently attending. I can say my high school student was well prepared thanks to SMA. Academically, organizational skills, socially, discipline - the whole package. Yes, middle school is strict and it should be - the teachers should be respected, homework is expected to be done and the academic standards are high. Call me old fashioned but that is what I want for my child! Yet they manage to foster a loving environment caring about each child's gifts. Faith is important and it is fostered throughout the school. I have high expectations for my child's school and am very happy with SMA!

Our family has been a part of Saint Mary Academy for four years now and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The teachers and staff have been wonderful; I am blown away at the amount of learning we've witnessed so far. My child is able to grow in Faith and has the support of his family, school and community around him. For parents, there are many opportunities to get involved in the school and church as well. We are truly blessed to be a part of the SMA community!

I have been with the school since the beginning. Sure we have had growing pains. Sure there have bumps in the road. However, one thing has been constant...a commitment to become better. I have had positive experiences every year. The children are challenged. This year's staff is fantastic. Can't say enough positive.

The middle school teachers picks favorites. They spend all their money on Ipads which they don't even use any more. This school started getting worse when the principal changed the rules. Now it seems like a military school. A military school would be cheaper than this school. All the students know they are having trouble but the teachers wont help them. So, parents pull them out. But I would say all the preschoolers are having fun. yes the teachers can be a little stitch but they are all having fun. Only if middle school was the same way.

SMA was a wonderful school under the direction of the previous Principal. Since the current principal has come out of retirement for the 3rd time, things have gone down hill dramatically. Classes are overcrowded for a private school. The teachers are cold, unmotivated and lack the skill set to understand how kids learn today. If a child struggles in any one area, be prepared to shell out substantially more money for a tutor. You won't get any extra assistance here.

This school has soooo much potential. Building a strong community one step at a time. Being a regional school it is definitely going through growing pains. It needs leadership, unity, "positive" parental support and smaller classes. 1ST GRADE has 30 kids. Stay tuned...

Great school despite leadership changes. Team based teaching has led to more personalized instruction. Some things could change, but where is a perfect school?

The elementry school is amazing. However, when in middle school the teachers have obvious favorites, they have poor comunication skills, and don't care if the students fail. luckily they are moving teachers around.
