Harmony has a strong PTA and teachers and staff who care about their students. I've observed staff consistently put the needs of students before their own. They are dedicated and are teaching for all the right reasons. My children have learned and grown academically and socially every year, even through COVID. This year has been the best year so far. The school really tries to go above and beyond to celebrate student success.

We moved here in the middle of 2020. The teachers, staff and students have all been amazing and welcoming. We started school when everyone was still attending virtually and during that time everyone was so supportive. Then we transitioned to in-person towards the end of the school year. The translation to in-person was amazing. After being all virtual for most of the school year in 2020 and part of 2021, the teachers and student welcomed my children with open arms. Everyone was so happy to be back to a somewhat me normal:) The 2021-2022 school year was a great experience. My kiddos never wanted to miss a day and was always excited to go to school. Thy have lots of learning opportunities and options throughout the week with added electives such as technology, art, music gym. The playground and play areas are amazing and they provide many activities and playtime to help with breaking up the day. The math was advanced enough and pushed my kiddos to go far beyond I could have imagined coming out of the virtual learning situation we all was trying to push through. The spelling , reading and math offered was at appropriate age level and their teacher pushed them to go even further to take it to the next level. They offer family events that was inclusive for everyone from all walks and religions that goes to school along with the community. We had so much fun this past year attending and supporting our school. They offer some school sports including cross country ( which is absolutely amazing) , basketball and a few other opportunities to connect with sports if desired. Overal moving to this area has been the best experience and I would give this school 10 stars if I could! School is new, updated and CLEAN!!! Each teacher really puts a lot of effort in making their rooms a very good environment and cozy! I’m impressed every time I go in. The Gym is very nice and has a rock climbing wall and bleachers a plenary for ac, library is very nice with a great layout and tons of options and areas for reading, music room is fully equipped and technology is up to date. Don’t pay attention to the low ratings. I feel over all this school is one of the best! I know things happen and it’s unfortunate, but I’ve met a lot of parents who are Thrilled that their kids are able to go to such a great school!! Hands down the best school in Kentucky! I’ve had kiddos in other school systems and have experienced the worst of the worst . This is a whole new level of awesome!

We love Harmony! We pulled our children from a private school where our oldest was bullied consistently and he wasn’t learning much and put him in Harmony. It has been the best decision. He loves going to school now and the only time he had a small issue with another child he spoke to his teacher and it was handled immediately. Our youngest is starting Kindergarten this year and we can’t wait! The principle and all of the staff are wonder.

It was horrific! I had to put my son in therapy because of what happen there! They do not care! I even complained to the school board and still the bare minimum was done. The education is lacking, my son came out out of the middle of fifth grade lacking basic spelling skills among other things. On top of that, he has a food allergy that was well documented in his file and I made sure to alert his teachers to as well as other applicable staff. On one specific occasion, my son forgot his lunch and his teacher DID NOT ALLOW HIM TO CALL ME! The cafeteria gave him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some grapes despite numerous previous conversations with them about his issues with gluten. This school is not all they claim it to be. Stay away for the sake of your children!

Just awful. Move to a neighborhood that attends Goshen Elementary instead. Harmony is terrible. Hopefully, complaints will finally be heard and new leadership can be put into place. Until then, look elsewhere.

My daughter is in her second year and has made massive progress in every discipline thanks to the quality of Ms. Marksbury's and Ms. Davis' classes. She established a love of learning, reading, and generally loves the community at Harmony.

I’d say if you come in with an IEP, expect challenges. Between that and the bullying, I had to pull her out and put her in a private school that has a zero tolerance bullying policy. Since being at her new school for only 4 months now, she is social and has learned more in 4 months than she learned in 3 years here. The difference is unbelievable. I feel public schools are under too much pressure to teach for state testing purposes and children who learn differently are greatly suffering by the one size fits all teaching methods. There are some really good teachers here, but it was definitely not a good fit for our daughter.

My daughters were new to this school in 2016 after moving into the district. The general quality of education was good at the start of the year. We did find it a step down from our previous, lower rated school before they began the second half of the year. At that point it seemed their education finally geared up and we have been pleased to see the learning and results this second half of the year. My daughters' teachers are usually accessible and I appreciate that they're willing to communicate about my daughters' needs. The facility is generally wonderful and new but the playground is extremely lacking. Also, one recess/day is unacceptable. I have liked being able to volunteer in the classrooms and have always felt welcomed to do so. Do know, NOTHING outside of a basic education is included here; you will be nickel and dimed for every possible reason. This includes Individual grade or class fees, extra fees for supplemental classroom resources, all activities come with exorbitant fees, field trip frees, the supply fees were shocking. At registration alone we paid over $200 and continued to pay fees throughout the year. It is unbelievable. Being involved in my daughters' classes, I see that many parents prefer to write a check than become actively involved. We came from a poorer school district that worked hard to provide activities and field trips and a fun environment that didn't tax the community. Now, I understand that, generally, those at this school can afford it, but all the fees are excessive. The strong education we received previously in a poor district compared to what we receive here in an extremely wealthy district is surprisingly inconsistent. I would expect much more for what we put in, financially. Lastly, be prepared for unkindness and exclusivity among the students and some of the parents. This isn't an issue with the lower grades but it runs rampant in the higher grades, to a surprising degree. This school claims to be churning out leaders but the strategies don't seem to be effective. Even with all the fault I cite here (as well as many positives), I do feel my children are receiving a quality education, warranting the 4 stars.

We moved to oldham county for the good schools but this was the worst experience ever. My son came with a detailed IEP with speech and motor skill delay and had been in school full time for 2 1/2 years prior. The kindergarten teacher they chose was strict and non loving. He did not respond well to this and reacted. She labeled him violent and severely behaviorally challenged. She had him doing completely different work in the class than the other students. They were doing math while he colored. We never had behavior problems before. The principal refused to take advice from his previous teacher on ways to work with him and could have cared less. I changed him to part time kindergarten and they shuffled him for 3 hours daily to the resource room and recess. His only goal was to be good and get good behavior stickers. He regressed. He wrote his name better before we went to harmony. To top it all off they refused to let him go on field trips because "he wasn't a student after 11am". Ridiculous! I could not imagine sending my other 2 children to this school so we moved. Terrible kindergarten teacher, terrible principal, terrible experience.
