The principal at this school is horrible. If I didn't love my daughter's teacher, we probably would have changed schools. So sad that the teachers are great but the administrations sucks. Unfortunately there is a lot of bullying at this school as well. And there is a huge lack of communication.

I have had three children at this school. Under previous administration, there was a strong sense of community for not only the children, but the families. The current principal and vice principal are dismissive and condescending to any parent who address a concern. They sweep issues under the rug without documentation, then deny it ever happened. This includes not only academic but also bullying issues. Multiple families have been told that if they don't like how the school is run, they can leave and go to another school. Many of the fantastic long-term teachers at this school have been harassed until they quit. Unfortunately, the administration at this school has created a culture that is no longer in the best interest of our children.

I stopped recommending this school anymore because of the unsolved issues that have been going on almost for an entire year.

Our son attended McNab Elementary School since VPK and he is going now to third grade. We have been super blessed with talented and caring teachers and staff. McNab is an awesome school.

My sons teacher did not try to help him when falling behind, when asking for help to help my son she tells me she told him how to do it already. Then it makes him shut down and feel he's not smart enough. Very discouraging.

I love this school, teachers and staff. They’re organized, loving and my son has made a lot of progress in there.

McNab is a wonderful school full of caring teachers, great students, and strong leadership. The teachers went above and beyond this school year to make sure each student succeeded despite the pandemic. As a parent, I would recommend McNab 100%. The beautiful new playground equipment is another plus. McNab is truly a hidden gem!

McNab used to be a great school couple years ago but NOT anymore!! Its going down so bad. Avoid if you care about education and safety for your kids.

The bullying at this school is unacceptable. This was the best elementary school in Pompano at one point, now it’s a horrible option for parents. Please check other school like Floranada or Bayview, your precious children are not safe here with Kids that Bully other kids. It’s not fair how the administration handles these bullies. This new administration just turns a blind eye to the bullies in the school and accepts the innocent kids being threatened and even physically harmed. Please expel these horrible kids and take control of the school back...do something to protect our precious children. Please do not send your children here. If you have to please talk with your kids and make sure they are not getting stabbed and bullied like my child was.

The registrar is completely rude. I had a feeling things would not go right when I saw her strolling in lazily and she wouldn't speak after I had said hello to her. I'm soft spoken so made she didn't hear me?! Whatever... Someone else had begun to help me register my child who was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were new to the state and were already super stressed about enrolling him since he did not yet have a lease. Anyway, because of our situation, we had to deal with the registrar because supposedly she had more knowledge with these situations. Yeah right. Not only was she misinformed, she refused to listen. She totally disregarded a federal law and seemingly dismissed me. I sent an email to the principal and assistant principal who never bothered to return a response so I've escalated this with the district so that no other children are wrongfully denied an education. You shouldn't be turning children away from education because you don't know your job. Period. Luckily for us, my child was welcomed by a school with a higher rating than this 7 rated school. Thanks for the additional stress Mcnab! Smh

Extremely disappointed with this school. Couldn’t agree more with the other poor reviews. Disruptive, aggressive kids that aren’t dealt with.Attitude from the top when spoken to about a problem. We will not be returning to this school.

My 1st grader at McNab begs me not to go back for 2nd grade. She has had an abusive boy in her classroom since school year started. He has been suspended 6 times all ready and they continue to let him stay. My daughter has been hit 3 times and other students as well. The poor teacher has no control over it, and has to get Principle and School Officer involved, but all they do is suspend him and tell parents "they are taking the proper steps". I called school board several times and they still haven't helped the situation. Principle Palacio is so condescending and rude when approached about it. Maybe she's over hearing about it from parents?? She offers us no comfort that it will be okay, that she will do anything to protect our children when in her care. All she says is "it's his school zone". I cannot have her return to a school that does not protect her. I would NOT recommend McNab. This is just 1 of the many incident so many parents have to deal with. I do NOT recommend you put your child in this school. They do not deserve any high rating.

My child is in the fourth grade at McNab Elementary School. It is January and we have had four different teachers. What is going on here? Teachers leaving, getting fired and dissatisfied teachers. How is my child expected to pass the FSA under these circumstances. The District needs to come in and clean house at this school.

This is the only school that I have ever seen that wants to charge such an exorbitant amount for basic tutoring.

Favoritism is behind how this school is administered. If you have the time and dedication to be on the PTA board or ''volunteer'' the school, it is guaranteed that the administration will place you into the best classes with angels, and reward you good grades in those specific classes. However, if you do not really care for or about the school, they will place you into the worst teachers with witches, and they will punish you with bad grades. Additionally, the teachers in this school manipulate grades and there is no gradebook to check your grades. Therefore, my daughter will be attending a different elementary school for the 2017-18 school year.

Bad administration and staff. When your child doesn't do well they are quick to offer tutoring at $50.00 an hour. Is this even legal? No teacher will stay one minute extra to help your child. Teachers don't even attend the PTA meetings. Zero interest.
