My kids have been attending Grovecrest for 5 years and we have loved it! The teachers and staff love what they do and it shows... they care for the kids and the about the education they are getting.

I have had 6 kids attend Grovecrest. We absolutely love it! Teachers are very involved as well as easy to reach and communicate with. They genuinely love their students. The principal is almost always accessible and is great with the students. I have been very happy with our experience at Grovecrest.

I personally love this school because I choose to be involved. I get to see what happens in the classrooms, what happens in the multiple programs that are offered. Kids stretching to be their best because it is expected. Parents who care and help their children succeed in and out of the classroom. I know their are schools out there that aren't good but I am a firm believer that if you want to see and make a difference in your child's life... Be involved! Be a room parent, help at recess, go on field trips, help in the classroom. The teachers at Grovecrest really are fabulous. They teach responsibility to our kids by keeping things positive but incouraging them to do their part without being babysat. Love the after school programs. Italian, sign language, piano, music introduction, volleyball, soccer. Etc...

Because of our experience with poor staff/parent communication & the unsafe/unattended recess environment at Grovecrest this past year, my kids will no longer be attending this school. The current principal is indecisive, failing to contact parents as outlined in school policy in regard to bullying or misconduct and failing to reinforce her own policies with her teachers. School fails to protect students from ongoing and accelerated bullying, with one teacher not only turning a blind eye to the actions of some of his students but acting as a bully himself. Once I learned of the situation with my child I began asking more questions of other parents & students. I learned that problems with this teacher have been going on for some years now & yet nothing has been done about his behavior. I gave this school two stars instead of one because I know there are some staff there that are doing their best and going above and beyond. The teacher just appointed as the VP for the 2012-2013 is an outstanding example of personal character & is a man that obviously became a teacher because he loves the kids & his work. I hope that his influence will help facilitate needed awareness & changes.

My daughter's only in kindergarten, but she's been thriving here. Despite a relatively large classroom (which pretty much always happens in Utah), the teacher does a good job in educating. My girl has "homework" of simple assignments to help her get ready for 1st grade, which I've come to appreciate. We're definitely happy with this school!
