like i have to agree with this one comment about it being like good before 4th and 5th grade fr...... cuz like 4th grade was kinda bad but 5th was a JOURNEY. first, my homeroom teacher (which i won't say the name of so she can keep her job) was very, very rude to students. she would be yelling at this one guy and insulting him fr.. next, the kids there are coming after the special education kids and making jokes about them.. oh yeah and the school is hella getto.. someone's weave got pulled out for goodness sake! like every kid there going to 4th grade for 2024 - 2025 is probably going to be looking for fights like last year' s 5th graders.. so unless you want your kid to come out as getto and terrible as them no matter how good of a kid they are, DO. NOT. COME.

This school is very bare minimum. All the years my child has been there he never went on one field trip. It's not a lot of family engagement. The students aren't well respected. I will never forget when I seen the librarian yell at a student who didn't have money for the book fair while he was browsing. I'm sure the kid was embarrassed by her screaming about how he needed to leave because he didn't have money. Besides my sons pre k teacher who's actually retired now these teachers don't care about having relationships with the students family. A lot of incidents gets swept under the rug or treated like they aren't that serious. I'm happy to be transferring my kid.

This school is ok, I have had several issues swept under the rug. There’s a lot lacking, the teachers for lower grades are great but once your child gets to 4th and 5th it goes way down hill. Not impressed this year at all. There’s also no field trips and communication is terrible.

Good dedicated teachers and administrators. They make sure you kid is learning and work hard to catch up the kids who need a little more.

I love the school and believe it is the one of the best. the teachers are hard working and very caring. The students are respectful and the learning is enduring. As with every school there are teachers that are under rated and some really go to great lengths to educate our children with the finest education possible. All the teachers give so much more than they get! I am proud to be a part of the community of learners and honored to be amongst them.

My son is a rising 1st grader and the education he has received at Winand Elementary has been first rate. He has been at the school since pre-k3 and the early elementary program program at Winand is top-notch. I am very pleased with the leadership of Principal Wanda Better-Davis. She has set a tone at the school which is conducive to learning. Principal Better-Davis knows each of the children by name and greets them every morning. She creates a welcoming environment for students, teachers, parents and community partners. Winand truly creates a partnership between the school and the families.

If you have a white child please DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS SCHOOL..the school has a major case of reverse discrimination that they do very well at hiding.when they no longer can hide it.they ban together to blame the child and parents of the victim (your child)If this was happening in opposite it would be on the news..

The school has been a bullying school for years and each year the teachers and the asst Principle and the Principle do a very good job of twisting and hiding the fact there children are going through bullying just to save face..at the childs expense...
