Vienna has become a home away from home for my atypical son! He has been nurtured and reached goals I never could have imagined. No place is perfect, but the dedication from the staff, PTA, and parents is second to none. Love our Tiger family.

Testing before smiles is my experience here. They have my kids on computers constantly test test testing. Everything is so militarized, and you can really feel the tension while everyone is so on edge and tired looking always. School should be a warm place but a folks are intense here.

If your child is in AG you will have a good experience. If your child is not in AG, good luck. Sub par teachers each year. Bullying issues that I can't believe the teachers don't see.

I was so worried about my child starting kindergarten after remote learning during this pandemic. But the transition was very smooth. My child likes going there. Excellent communication with his class teacher.

Test scores before health and wellbeing. Bullying not being addressed appropriately. Verbal abuse from adults. Learning disabilities ignored and treated with isolation and punishment. They get these high scores for test results but the environment here was terrible for us. The verbal abuse was from a long standing employee. I will say, educationally, they were organized and highly effective for the average kid. But what is that worth when your child psychological health is at stake

Our experience was far from what I expected. Prior to our experience, I would have said it’s a great place. But we weren’t supported and my son wasn’t treated fairly.

10/10 Vienna Elementary School is the best of the best! We moved out of Vienna’s zone when my son was attending second grade but would never switch schools! We love the Tigers!!

Things have been changing at Vienna since we got a new vice principal and principal. Still too soon to tell but it's starting to feel a bit hostile dropping and picking up kids. They put up new no left turn signs into the car line when most of the families live on the side of the school that'd need to turn left, north of the school. They want us to all drive to south of the school and come at it that way, when there are no short routes. They think that will ease morning traffic but all it does is create bottle necks in different areas where there isn't a crossing guard, making it more dangerous. Parents are getting vicious, it's scary. They all sound like they want to form a lynch mob on the Facebook page for people who turn left even when there is no traffic. We used to all work together to drop kids off, people would be polite and let people turn left.... Not anymore. It's also not comforting going into the office and hearing the vice principal yelling at kids and then when they start crying yelling at them to stop.... I don't know, I hope it's not going downhill.

We transferred to Vienna from out-of-zone this year (though we only live about 2 miles away from the school). We had been attending another school (our home school in our zone) with a Great Schools rating of 10, but when a new administration took over, the school became something different than what we wanted for our children. That said, Vienna has been a dream. Mrs. Hewitt (who is the principal formally known as Mrs. Dees) :) is without a doubt, the best there is. She and Mrs. Davis were so helpful and welcoming to us as we navigated the out of zone transfer request and our children's transition to Vienna. There is SUCH a different vibe than we got at our former school. The children have fun and learn a lot at Vienna, but they also know that there are high expectations. They are taught not only to be good students, but to be good people. We saw it in the hallways, the first time we visited. The students were so respectful and polite and we see it daily in our own children now. The communication from teachers and administration is frequent and parents are encouraged to get involved. All in all, it's just an awesome place!

Vienna Elementary is a wonderful school. The teachers are well educated, the principal knows the name of every student, and the parent volunteer rate is very high. Parent involvement makes such a huge difference in the school. The grounds are beautiful. Also they are always improving the school with new technology.

There is a reason why all the parents, children and teachers at Vienna are so happy. This school is run like a well oiled machine. My daughter just started Kindergarten there out of our zone and after visiting several other public schools in the area we chose Vienna because it feels like it is the safest, most individualized and caring school in the area! They seem to have a wonderful balance of academics, socialization and enrichment. With the start of Kindergarten comes a huge transition for the child. I was so pleased to know they schedule an afternoon rest/quiet time in the beginning of the year. This is HUGE! Not all schools do this but they should!! I have also been so happy with the way my child's class uses positive discipline techniques and reward systems, not punishing the entire class when someone misbehaves etc. (and this happens at other schools). Communication has been great as well...we are one happy Vienna family and are so lucky to be able to attend school here!

Vienna Elementary School is warm and inviting. Smaller than many other schools I think that it is close to a private school within the public school setting. Principal Dees knows not only every child by name, but every single family member. (I don't know how she does it, but she does!) Vice Principal Davis was my daughter's math teacher before moving up to VP. She has an amazing, inspiring connection with all of the kids. Each child is individually placed in classrooms with great care. Ms. Dees and Ms. Davis know every child well and hand-place them with both teachers and peers where they will not only learn the best but will be the happiest. The whole staff of teachers is truly remarkable. I feel Blessed that my children have gone here!

Vienna is called an elementary school, but in fact it is a community. A loving, caring, exciting, challenging, (and every other wonderful "ing" word you can come up with) community. Vienna meets EVERY child where they are and inspires him/her to move forward. The kind, helpful, encouraging way that Vienna children treat each other speaks volumes about the teaching they receive. At the risk of 'overselling' Vienna, it is simply the best school in which I have ever set foot.

My school is small enough to care but big enough to make a difference! I love Vienna!!

Vienna is an excellent school. It's like a small town school in a big city...tucked away as a hidden jewel. The teachers go above and beyond to teach the students and all the extras just add to the great atmosphere that is Vienna.
