I would not recommend this school for many reasons.

No student or teacher or coach will be perfect all of the time. Not all families can afford private school tuition. Priorities do change like the seasons, but we have found Westfield to be a great place for our children to be educated. Super appreciative of the friendly staff and families who make Westfield home.

this school has a huge racial problem . all the boys there are extremely homophobic and racist . they have encouraged my son to bring these traits home with him , which is very disappointing. the student body is unwelcoming , and will talk about anyone and everyone behind their backs . i do not want my children around these types of kids . the teachers never address any of it and it’s very disappointing. one thing i have a major problem with is that my daughter was forced to lock her phone in a box all day so she wouldn’t be “distracted” . but it gave me huge worries that if something happened i wouldn’t be able to reach her as quickly . overall i would never send my child here again

Westfield School is an outstanding school in a warm, loving, Christ-Centered environment! It has high academic standards, wonderful teachers, a caring environment, and am amazing number of extra curricular activities, including sports, theatre, music, art, and a number of clubs for students! I highly recommend this school to those seeking a private, Christian school for their children.

I’m a current Westfield parent (4th year). After reading some reviews here I thought I’d provide my own insight. Westfield is a superior school in comparison. Their maneuvers through COVID were impressive. Everything from academics to communication to events is carefully and thoughtfully planned out and executed superbly. My child has ADHD, and the teachers always reach out when their are concerns with work/behavior. They want a good working relationship between parent/teacher. There are additional things the school provided for special needs like this however it comes at a cost because it’s a private school. They expect excellence and to always do your best work. I have found they care on a deep level for each student and reach out if they are not hitting milestones. They get concerned if they believe someone is struggling. My child is in lower school and does have difficulty doing the work sometimes because it’s challenging. However, I see they set the children up for success and I love their teaching methods, good Christian environment, and dedication to academic excellence. There are people here is money and people that make sacrifices to be here. I understand the comments about “outsiders” as an adult. However, my child has not experienced this and it’s worth it in my opinion for the education and environment. The teachers are great! Bullying… I found Westfield to be very responsive to even small acts of “being unkind”. I found they always push kindness and emphasize inclusive behavior.

This school has a major issue with bullying that the administration never addresses. This school is not welcoming to outsiders. I had 3 children here in lower, middle and upper. It was the worst experience my children ever went through. Luckily we moved. I would not recommend this school at all.

Some wonderful teachers are in this school but the culture and the student body are not welcoming or kind. Not a place for outsiders.

This school has great faculty! Take a look at the high school and you'll notice a few highly beloved teachers. Specifically, Coach PP comes to mind. Easily the best teacher out there. She always has a gameplan, shares strategy to defeat the other team(tests, essays), uses all of her players (even the bench and waterboy!), and she even works overtime so her players don't have to. On the weekends, Coach PP draws up plays using her players' essays as her inspiration. How can you not love Coach PP? Come to Westfield and you can experience the legacy of Coach PP

My child moved from a public school to a private school and the boost in his self confidence was amazing.

Westfield seems to be having serious Administrative hiring issues lately. The last head was a poor leader and inexperienced but the current head is an immature know-it-all who seems to lack direction! Where this school is headed is a big unknown! A handful of parents seem to run the school and the kids do not respect authority at all! Most of the teachers are able and qualified but I know several recent "cheap hires" who are not! I have been associated with Westfield for several decades and have never seen this level of administrative incompetence. The board better wake up on this before it's too late!

horrible horrible horrible I would not recommend this school to anyone. Teachers that have been there for a while are some of the best there are. The new additions to the teaching staff and administration seem to be the problem.

A great indoctrination into right wing, ultra conservative thinking. Just look at the lack of diversity and you'll understand what this school is all about.

This School is not what the Alumni think it is, they talk about this place as if they have blinders on. They have not been anywhere else. They do not offer the diversity you can receive in the public system. I have had children in both systems they do not a have Honors program; AP classes are not the same as Honors. Also you do not have to pay an outrageous tuition. Westfield student are also sheltered from the real world and they experience a huge culture shock when the go to college and they are not spoon fed everything

I would definitely recommend Westfield to anyone looking for a great education in a Christian environment for their children. I have been extremely pleased with Westfield. From the faculty and classroom teaching to the athletics and other extracurricular activities, the Westfield experience is a great one! The average SAT scores are more than 200 points above the local school system's average (as well as state and national average), and 100% of the students are accepted to college. Great AP classes too. Very thankful that my children have the opportunity to receive their education at Westfield.

I am not a student at this school nor is anyone in my family. I came to this site looking for information after three years of witnessing loutish and bullying behavior at athletic events by a portion of the student body. I see now that my perceptions have been on point. If bullying and antagonistic behavior are tolerated and even encouraged I can fully understand some of the poor ratings on this site. They are directly in line with the experiences of many visiting teams and families. Fine christian environment indeed.
