Welp. I truly do hate this school. As a student here, 8th grade has been the worst school year of my life. And it’s not because it’s difficult, it’s because I hate 2/4 of my teachers. Racism is a common occurrence at this school, many experience it every day. The education is good, I guess. But is it worth it? 8th grade is miserable, especially if your on Team A.

New to the area and quickly learning that the school curriculum is outdated, the school policies are antiquated & bias towards female students. They divide kids into categories (as I assume this is the entire school district) gifted or not gifted. There us no in between no option for kids to attend specific classes that they may be advanced in. No option to chose elective classes, and no language classes taught in the middle schools. Dress code specifically targets the girls and if your daughter is more curvier than others they will be a high target from administration concerning what they wear. The middle children are confined to 3 teachers in one hallway, walking in single file lines as if they are elementary students. Coming from a metro area with a more advanced curriculum & way more opportunities for my children. This school district sorely disappoints. Oh let me not forget the assigned seats in the lunch room, when my child started this school she was eating lunch alone at a empty table. If you are thinking of moving into this school district please do your research and see if this district can fit your child's needs.

My daughter was a new student in 8th grade, her teachers were very welcoming and tried everything to keep her motivated and help her adjust to being the new kid. They all kept me updated with emails and zoom conferences to let me know if she wasn't getting her school work completed; encouraged feedback on how to help her succeed in their class. This was during the pandemic so I was very grateful they stayed on point during an extra difficult time.

Terrible experience for my daughter. She was bullied for 3 years. I went to administration and asked for help so many times. Nothing was done. Even a teacher told the class she was autistic ,which is not true. It traumatized her life changed for the better once she got out of there and went it high school. The rudest assistant principal I have ever seen. In a conference she actually made the teacher cry, when that teacher was trying to speak up for my child. A total mistake on my part choosing this school .

I have 4 children, every one of them have come through FMMS. The school has great administrative and teacher support. They have high expectations for the students, at the same time compassionate and understanding.

We are new to this area and my daughter loves this school. She especially enjoys band and her math class.

Good school with caring teachers. Discipline from the school administration seems to be outstanding. I've seen several occasions of teachers and Principals correcting unruly behavior.

Pretty good school. Clicky parent thing expects at least one parent to be a stay at home parent. Lots of extra costs for activities. Over all safe with good teachers.
