We had a horrible experience at DPPS. From violent behavior in the classroom, to a teacher that tried to deflect responsibility at every turn, to an administration that chose to treat my son as a problem child after I came to them with my concerns, my son's kindergarten year was an absolute nightmare. For her part Leslie Shultz (Principal) seemed to genuinely care for my child's well being but that was over shadowed by the school's need to reverse blame. We have two years left with this school and we are very wary of what is to come.

My step-son is in Kindergarten this year at Perdue Primary. He went to a terrible Pre-K and was behind when he entered, but this school has worked with him so much and brought him not only to the level he should be at, but a far higher level than we had ever thought to expect in such a short time. Mrs. Wilkes, Mrs. Tatham, and Mrs. Schultz(principal) and all of the other staff are wonderful, and I cannot find a single complaint with how they run things. I am so happy that he gets to learn and have fun everyday. He has gone from not being able to identify more than 3-4 letters of the alphabet, to reading short books, and being able to sound out new words in just a few months. The PTO at this school is also awesome. They raise funds every year to help non-profit organizations(over $3000 for the American Heart Association this year so far) and for new and updated equipment for the classrooms(a smartboard in every class, 2 tablets and computers for each class, etc.). I could not be happier with a school, public or private!!!

I Love DPPS and all of the staff that I have had contact with. I three kids that are attending this school and they all Love attending school there. Being a single parent I know when they leave my home to attend school at DPPS they will be well taken care of until they return back to my home. Thank you DPPS staff for being so caring and teaching our kids to do the same. Love Ya'll
