I have had quite a few teachers who have been really quite bad but also have met some of the best educators I have ever learned from. Pennington is really half and half in that aspect. If you or your student plans on attending Pennington prepare yourself for a tight knit community that is athletically talented, conducive with the learning styles of students who would suffer elsewhere but also a very isolated community.

I was a boarding student in the Learning Center and Pennington 100% changed my life. The way every teacher actually cares about the students and not just the ones they have in class but all of the students. The level of support any student might need is always available if the student asks for it. Pennington prepared me very well for life after high school and even life after college. I have nothing but amazing things to say about The Pennington School and it will always hold a near and dear place in my heart.

I was a boarder at Pennington while my parent's lived overseas. The family atmosphere made the school a second home for me. The teachers truly care about your success and put the student's first. My geometry teacher lived in my building and I would go down to his place during study hall when I didn't understand how to do proofs. I still treasure the time I spent at Pennington and the teachers.

Great academics, competitive athletics, creative arts, and teachers who genuinely care about the students social, emotional, and overall well-being. Two thumbs up!

As a former student, I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at TPS. Close-knit community - I still speak with many of my classmates and teachers ten years later. The teachers are always willing to put in extra hours if it means helping their students and there are so many different ways to get involved. Yes, it is a lot of wealthy kids, but many - if not most- are still very down to earth. I feel that Pennington set me up for success throughout college and my career.

In respons to the top review (1/5 stars), middle schoolers don''t ever board, so the fact that he is 11 makes your story completely untrue. Also the halls where the boarders are all have hall parents so if anything happened they would know right away. Furthermore, there are no bunks!
