I have 2 children at WRS, both started their K year there and are now in 1st and 3rd grade. We have had fantastic teachers and I believe all the teachers at WR love their students and value education. This is a small community and there is a lot of parent involvement at the school; in fact the school relies on it through the PTC and classroom volunteers. There is an average student/teacher ratio of about 26/1, which, I think, is average these days due to funding. Even with larger class sizes, the quality of instruction and attention my children have received has been excellent! The school switched to the common core math program recently, and with all major changes in a system, it takes time to adapt. My children were at this school when the change took place and, again, they are both excelling in their education despite what the test scores of this site say. In regard to another review about attendance. We are also a military family and have run into the attendance policy as well. HOWEVER, it is a state policy, NOT a school policy. The school has been really great about working with us and we haven't had any issues. Overall this has been a great school with wonderful teachers!

Williams Ranch is an excellent school headed by a principal that is attentive to the needs of our students and families. She and her outstanding teachers make learning a personal adventure/journey. The social skills program where students learn about safety, respect and responsibility is highly successful and the transition to the middle school is smooth because these same standards for behavior are held at Pleasant Valley. Morning assemblies are sweet. My child is happy. My child's teacher is awesome. Parent connections are there; very friendly and welcoming to a new family. So happy to be here where they practice traditions and have a positive school climate.

Williams Ranch is a wonderful school in a small, supportive rural community. The teachers are outstanding! They are experienced and caring. The School code of safety, respect, and responsibility is alive and well and enforced. Our kids feel safe and secure, in a nurturing educational environment. Parent participation is encouraged by the teachers and staff. I can't think of a better school for my children!

Williams Ranch School is a fantastic school. I volunteer often in the classrooms and playground. I feel my 6 and 8 year old are getting a very good education. I feel that the teachers and staff are very engaged with the students, parents, and community.

Williams Ranch is a wonderful, small school community where everyone is treated like family. My son had an awesome experience here with a total of 5 different teachers who all proved to be dedicated and caring. The active PTC does a great job of bringing the school community together with holiday events and a wonderful fall festival. After leaving a large suburban school which tried hard but missed the mark, it is refreshing to experience a warm and caring environment.

My eldest child has been at Williams Ranch for two years now and have a little one starting in the fall. We have had all wonderful experiences with the staff, teachers and administration, they are very attentive and love the kids and we love our little school! There are many fun activities put on by the school and the Parent Teacher Club. It really is a wonderful little community that the kids grow and learn in.

I currently have a child in the kindergarten class, the teachers are great. However alot of the parents at this school bully other parents and are very opinionated, and there are constant bullying issues amongst the children. It has be such a huge disappointment and let down dealing with all that we have been through and school has only been in session for 6wks! They have a anti-bullying program, yet don't apply it, there is ALOT of hands on between the kids with hitting and so fourth and rude hurtful language. It is a extremely i un-warm and unfriendly campus, and unfortunately given the circumstances and the unavailable principle, we will NOT be finishing the school year there, for the best interest for our child and family! Lastly The principal is between 2 schools so any urgency to speak on the phone or meet in person and set up a apt with the principal and you get directed to the voicemail. Good luck!

Though Williams Ranch has some very good, dedicated teachers, there are some who are hopelessly unqualified. I occasionally helped out in my son's third grade class, and it was appallingly chaotic. Kids talking, horsing around, getting up and walking around. The teacher seemed oblivious. Not only was my son not learning, he was actually regressing. I left a message with the principal (the fourth in three years) and two weeks later she responded to me saying "give it more time". I talked to the teacher directly about my concerns and her response was "My daughter didn't have a good third grade but she turned out okay." Such a cavalier attitude from an educator was shocking. It was then and there I withdrew my children and placed them in another school. Overall, Williams Ranch School suffers from poor leadership and some offensively incompetent teachers.
