I’m a former student here. The administration and staff here is terrible. A lot of the male teachers are very weird, resource officer is very weird, they don’t even care for their students. give out punishments for things that should be illegal.

Both of my children have attended South Madison schools since kindergarten. My oldest is now in 8th grade and looking forward to attending PHHS. We have only experienced one grade level with an incompetent teacher, but they were hired for their coaching, not teaching experience. One key item that happened, that many people in the community forget, is the swath of cuts made by Dr. Warmke. His legacy will leave this corporation behind for years and possibly decades. He cut programs, teachers, requirements, etc. I was never so happy to see an administrator leave this corporation!! Now that Mr. Buck has replaced him, I believe this corporation will rise to the top in this area. The high school has MANY electives that allow students to explore various career options and the vocational programs (which Mike Pence said would be a focus) are succeeding even without support from the state level. I feel that my children will receive an excellent education at this school corporation!

This school is seriously mediocre. They do very little for the students. There are so many issues and problems and yet no one does anything about it despite complaints and efforts. The counselors are just completely awful and could seriously not care less about your future unless you do sports. Most teachers are that way. I can think of maybe 5 teachers there that genuinely do care and try to give their all and ACTUALLY teach but that is very rare here. The class periods are too short. There's almost a test every week, sometimes more than just one and it's just so fast paced. It's too fast paced and the required curriculum and all the different diplomas it offers (which literally no other school has) are completely ridiculous. Also the students are genuinely awful people, the majority of them.
