Horrible school to allow their basketball players in 8th grade who are so incredibly talented to act the way they did along with their coach. Such a shame

APA has been phenomenal for both of our kids. Both had IEPs and the SSC teachers have been outstanding!

APA is an excellent school, they meet the students where they are (academically) and help them achieve their highest potential. They have small classroom size and the teachers get to know all the kids on a personal level to help them succeed.

This school is great for my kids. Every school has its issues. The one thing I love is the class size. The one thing I think needs worked on is that the teachers need to be more aware of what goes on in the classroom. The special education piece is AMAZING

I will always be passionate about how much I love this school. APA has amazing staff who care about their students, school is safe, diverse and they do a great job communicating with parents and guardians. There’s a neuroscience class, and many extracurricular options. They wear uniforms, they teach good manners and how to be respectful. This is our first year and I can already tell it’s one big family. And most importantly, my kids LOVE their school. We love APA.

My two sons have attended APA for 3 years now...I now have one in the middle school and one in the high school. Administration and teachers truly care about all the students. The academics are via both in the classroom and online. We love the emphasis on leadership, citizenship and discipline. APA also requires uniforms and holds the students accountable for their actions. Would not think of sending our boys to any other school!

I have 3 grand children that attend APA, they have excelled and are growing in every class, as well as personal aspects. When I attend an event it is so awesome to see how the students look, act and carry themselves in or away from their school. You can tell the discipline and respect they have. I live almost an hour and a half away and try to attend every thing I can. And do proudly in my JETS wear!!! Thank you APA staff for all you selflessly do for my grandchildren and the students there!!! If I only lived closer I would be a full time Mami helper!!! Thank You!!! And may you all be Truly Blessed!!!

My child has gone to APA for 4 years (K-3) now. Both my child and I have had a great experience. Teachers are great and work well with my child. He is a straight A student and I owe it all to them. The principal is also very kind, understanding and is very transparent.

My son's class is so small that he gets much more attention. They must wear uniforms and punctuality is stressed. I wish he would have attended here from the start because the skills he is gaining like organization and teamwork would have increased his experience and grades. He loves self-defense club. From the very beginning these kids and staff have been so supportive of him. If you can drive them to school each day and buy the uniforms then this is a WAY better alternative to anderson high school.

APA is a great school. This is our second year attending with one in middle school and one in high school. The discipline and uniforms add to the structure mandated to attend the school. I drive 35 minutes one way to take my kids there and I wouldn't change it. Like every school, it has it's issues but we have been very happy with the growth and maturity we've seen in our kids in the time they have been there. Go Jets!

This is our children's first and will be only year at APA. Our kids have been singled out by staff and other students due to not being rich, they have been bullied and when they try to report it nothing was done but yet when they stick up for themselves they get in trouble. One teacher has what he calls a "dirtbag" list of students that he does not like. Our children and others have told us of this list, that it is long and that he is proud of it. I feel that a teacher doing such things to children is nothing other than bullying. I do like the uniforms and structured learning but do not like how children are treated by some of the staff. Will not be enrolling our children there next year.

My son has been a student at APA for three years, 3rd through 5th. Before coming to APA he attended Lapel Elementary where he was a straight A student. I received his report card today and he got a D in science. His teacher posted a comment on his report card that he has some incomplete assignments. However; we can track his progress and all assignments whether missing, late, etc. on their web site. And what do you know?!, he only had one assignment for this grading period, which he received a 100%. Nothing listed in missing, no communication from the teacher. So he went from an A last grading period to a D with one assignment , which was an A. There is no accountability, teachers and the administration do not report to a superintendent or any school board, so they feel free to make up their own rules and often cover up their mistakes. If you are looking for lazy, unprofessional teachers, a hostile learning environment than this could be the right school for you. Sadly, many of us are not returning our children next year.

APA is a family. My students are challenged, but know they are cared for. Teachers and staff go out of their way for students. Also the adults KNOW the kids, by name, personality, strengths and struggles. A rare gem is how I describe APA-hard to find and highly valued.

This is my childrens first year at APA and I have to agree that it is a very structured school for the most part. However, I feel that there should be better communication among the school staff. On 1 occasion my child had forgotten his lunch in the car and I returned it to the office with the needed info by 8a.m. The problem....he didn't get it till the end of the day and his friends chose to share their lunch with him during his reg lunch time. On 1 other occasion, the parent was called to pick up the child and when the parent arrived the peope in the office knew nothing about it until a teacher came walking down the hall with the cadet.
