I would rate it as a positive experience.

Quite bad honestly. Sports seem to be a main focus of this school and nothing else. "Hey! We need 1,000 dollars for some stuff for our classroom" Answer; Sorry, no. "Hey we need more gear for football, only 5,000 dollars!" Answer; Yes! It's just, I don't know if learning is a main focus anymore of this school. Seems to promote intense anxiety and breakdowns. I have personally seen it, multiple times, where students have broken down in class because it gets too much.

This school has a negative impact on almost every student that enters it. Kids are expected to act like adults but are treated like toddlers. Learning has gone out the door and almost every student has turned to cheating because they are not getting the resources they need. Teachers don't care about the students and they make it very obvious that they are only there to get paid. Students dropping out has become very normal and almost no administrators push to keep these kids still in school. Administrators look for any small reason to get a student in trouble and then question why all the students have such bad attendance and never want to come to school. When students are late to a class by even a second, they are sent to a room where they are not even allowed to work on their schoolwork. Students take this as an opportunity to skip class without getting in trouble and (bonus) they get to do nothing the entire hour! This concept just goes right over the administrators heads and they still believe sweep is a good idea. This school is flat out a joke. Sending your child to it would be like putting their education on pause because if they don't get one of the 4 amazing teachers that actually care about their students educations, they will be gaining nothing.

We moved here a few years back and have had nothing but problems with the high school staff, including the teachers, coaches and principal. It's sad how much the school focus's on discipline and how little they focus on helping the students succeed. The amount of students who are always ineligible to play sports because of poor grades and the amount of students who have to take online courses or summer school to make up for the lack of help and education they received during the actual school year is astounding. We are never notified by the teachers if our children are in danger of failing and the teachers rarely keep edline up to date. How am I as a caring parent suppose to help my child succeed if the lines of communication are not open. I also think there are too many teachers that have inappropriate relationships with the students and are never reprimanded or have to face any consequences for their actions. This school's poor rating is a reflection of the poor education system and the way these students are not being properly cared for and educated for the future. It's sad when many of the seniors are not informed of the exact amount of credits they are lacking to graduate until a month or so into their last semester of their senior year. Many of these kids have poor family situations and they rely on the teacher's,coaches and counselors to guide them in the right direction. I hope for the sake of the kids that somewhere in the near future this school gets it together and figures out that their number one priority should be to help these kids pass every class and graduate. No child should be left behind.

The teaching seems to be pretty good but the problem is with the administration. My daughter has been bullied by some other girls and the principle and vice principal are not responsive to the attacks on my daughter. The complaints have fallen of deaf ears. The school needs to provide a safe and none bullying atmosphere for all the kids.
