Do not send your kids here they believe if the child does something wrong automatically they can not go on field trips

Being new to town we weren't sure what to expect. The teachers are involved, the office staff is responsive, and we've been happy with the school so far. My son is happy! The library and computer lab are fabulous. We appreciate the millionaire club and the fact the kids are challenged (and quizzed). While the test score are disappointing, my hope is that the school can continue to grow and excel.

Two of my children have attended JRE. The original Julia Randall was torn down a few years ago and has been totally rebuilt with a fresh & modern campus including a totally awesome library & gym. The classrooms are spacious and many of them overlook the beautiful green valley park next door. So sometimes the teachers can take their class for a walk over there for fishing, games, flying kites, etc. I have never been disappointed with any of the teachers. This year JRE received a new principal and he is doing a great job. My only gripe is that there is no grass on the playground so my son plays football at recess with his buddies on the dirt. The playground does have cedar chips under the swings & equipment though. Overall 5 stars

The principal has no backbone and is only interested in appeasing the parents. Therefore the students and teachers suffer. His standards are low, and he does not support the teachers with difficult parents or with disciplining the students. The student to teacher ratio has increased to approximately 28 to 1 due to the ridiculous reconfiguring of the schools.
