Very poor. I would be ashamed to have my daughter graduate from here. Luckily, if you jump through enough hoops, there are other options.

It has been a challenge, but that is what life is supposed to be - a series of challenges. I want students to work, I want them to succeed. This is not always conguous with the whims of the students or the amibitions of the parents.

Awful, do not consider. My son had a terrible experience. School did not honor their legal obligation to his IEP

The bright spots: drum corp, robotics, band, advanced studies. The good teachers try their best, but they are outnumbered by ineffective teachers. There is a culture of complacency among the them. They seem tired.

Wilson is a terrific school. My child is returning for 2nd year. He has made good friends and enjoys the robotics program and was very proud to have competed in the regional science fair. He takes an active interest in his grades and is really growing as a student and a young man. Looking forward to continuing with Wilson!

This is probably the only school I know in Pasadena in which the staff as a whole go above and beyond to care for the students. From the principal to the security guards as well as custodians, they never just let students walk around outside without finding out why and where they are supposed to be. Safety is big at this school and I fell safe knowing that the students here are learning in a safe environment. I really like the entertainment this school puts on every year too. Overall, very good school. Stop bad mouthing the school until you take a tour and see what the school has to offer.

My son just started 6th grade at Wilson Middle School. So far we're very happy with the school, especially with the small accelerated learning environment offered by Advanced Studies Program (only 19 kids who take most of their classes together). School climate is calm, respectful, and harmonious, not at all what we expected from middle school! (as in, kids open doors for others just to be polite). Parent involvement has picked up in recent years, and this year looks strong. The school sends regular updates for parents via weekly messages about events and emails with my child's grades and completed/missing assignments.

Wilson has an outstanding principal. The teachers and staff are caring and responsive to the needs of students. My daughter, in her second year at Wilson, is catching on to the pace of middle school, with the support of her teachers. Go Wilson!

This school has improved so much. The honors program is as good as any private school, with good kids and smaller classes. Lots of families now attend from Hamilton & Willard. Many of the ineffective teachers have left or been pushed out. The teachers now really care and learning has become so much more pleasant. Not much in sports or PE though. But now there is art class available. There is no perfect school out there, but Wilson has been getting better and better.

It's an alright school. Some of the teachers care about your learning. Others just care for their paycheck. But if you're here trying to figure out whether or not to send your child here take my advice and dont. You can find many other better schools in PUSD. But if you cannot find any other one I consider Wilson as the last choice. The students are horrible. They curse and they are complete trash. I attend Wilson as an 8th grader. The principal doesn't even care about the students. All she cares is about is "dress code" which everyone doesn't follow anyways . She doesn't care about the grades or behaviour. All she cares about is whether or not your shorts go down to your knees or not. They have students there who should be expelled for how horrible they are. But they are not expelled. The students are trash and the principals are trash. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. Kids are constantly bullied and the staff doesn't do anything about it. They host "anti bullying" assembly's but those don't do ANYTHING! The bullying doesn't stop. They need to take action instead of hosting lazy assembly's. So take my advice and go somewhere else.

My daugher is in her second year at this school. she is in all honors classes, which is one of the reasons i have allowed her to stay here. she loves this school and is happy. ms knudson is the very best. kids love and enjoy her science and math classes. as well as ms anderson. all my concerns have been met with a quick and positive response. lots of activities to choose from. drum corps, dance, running classes, mentor programs. so much to choose from. Though i had some some reservations at first, i am happy she is here. Major disappointment?? No librarian, that is very disappointing!!!

My son is an 8th grader at Wilson Middle School. So far our experience has been a work in progress. This school is not perfect, but if we have a situation, it is quickly resolved. The teachers are currently adapting well to the new common core curriculum and are doing every thing possible to help the students with the transition. The principal is strong and aware of the challenges within the school. She is always available for the students and parents. Along with the vice principal, staff, and teachers, Wilson is improving every year. I'd like to see more parent involvement, its a work in progress.

Our child just graduated from 8th grade and is registered for AP and Honors classes in high school. Wilson provided the curriculum but, just as with any public or private school, the parents must be involved with their child's education and social choices and growth. Wilson's outstanding after-school music program was done by the staff on a volunteer basis. You should have seen the performance at graduation! THANK YOU to the Wilson principal and staff for investing your lives in our young people.

My nephew came home and said, today he had a math test and the first thing the teacher said was to her assistant in front of the whole class, "check off all the wrong ones!" He felt humiliated in front of everyone, I wish I can put her in the spotlight as well. See how she feels. I will continue to post all the things that come about until someone makes a change in that school.

Terrible school. They do not care about the child, only conscern is their paycheck. I want my child out of this school ASAP. What is wrong with the system when teachers and the principle do not place the child learning first above all.

Wilson has been a great place for our son. He transitioned into 6th grade smoothly and loves his school. The robotics program is amazing, he is on the tennis team which uses the school's beautiful new tennis courts. The performing arts - band, orchestra, drum corps and dance engages most of the students. The school has both a PC and brand new Mac lab, and a computer teacher. Academically, we are improving and there's a new spirit of pride and parent involvement emerging. Come and take a tour. The days of only one or two "good" schools in Pasadena are over. That's old news. Families have more choices and I say come and see for yourself !
