There is nothing more to say than that this school is beyond its expectations. This school prepares you very well academically and allows you to create communities for life. The teachers are very great at what they do and always bond with their students. Allowing individual one on one learning with small classrooms really creates a great learning environment and that’s what Hovsepian brings. The staff and faculty are even more considerate and very genuinely kind people. This isn’t just any school, it’s Hovsepian, a proud and strong school.

The last 3 reviews were obviously written by the same person, as they spelled "principal" wrong! I'm new. I'm extremely happy with the school. The principal is amazing: he knows what he's doing and does it well. The teachers are credentialed and genuinely happy. The students love their school and do very well. Great school!!!!!!!-eve

My child has attended this school since 1st grade The good teachers keep leaving more and more. The bad teachers remain. The principle is very biased. There is no equality. They bring in their own friends as board members to do what they want in the school. The school is always begging for money. Before they can pat themselves on the back, they need to stop sweeping the important issues under the carpet. They need better organizational skills. Teachers are out of touch with reality. and most of all they are very cocky, time to look for another school next year.

This school is supposed to teach Armenian, as part of their curriculum.....why are the teachers, principle, and all other educators speaking in English DURING ARMENIAN CLASS HOURS! Arent they supposed to set a standard? WHY are we paying for ARMENIAN study, reading and writing, when the adults and the people that should set a standard are not speaking what is part of the over all curriculum??? This is just of the many many issues with this school.....my kid is out next year. Too bad for the school......

The administration is soooo caught up in stupid non important essentials. They dont know what the parents are looking for because they DONT ASK NOR CARE! The principle, so called, says my door is always open....NOT! Nothing can be farther from the truth.

I wish there were more starts I can give to the school. Every day I send my children to Hovsepian knowing that they are in a safe and healthy environment with fully qualified teachers who give them the most priceless gift knowledge and education! The administration and principle have the school and the student s best interest in mind at all times. This is a great school and I commend the faculty, staff and principal for creating such an excellent school.

We have been taking our kids to this school for the past 4 years, and we have seen nothing but the best from this school. The teacher are educated and have knowledge in everything that you ask them, administration will do anything to help the parents, also the parents in this is school are very humble people not like other schools. I highly recommend this school to all the parents with out thinking twice.

I am very pleased with this school. My child is in this school for 7 years and I watched my child thrive under caring and competent teachers and administration. The teachers are very dedicated and constantly improving themselves. Administration listens to their parents and do their best to accommodate their needs. Parents in this school rock. They are dedicated bunch and very closely working to improve this school. Last year we have had a brand new science lab opened (school parents donated it to our school) two years before a new library was opened in this school. There is a chess club and many sports activities. Love this school.

Love this school. One of few humble private schools left. Parents' opinion does matter, and most renovations talked about in previous post were done by fund raisers and donations. I have two children enrolled here and both are thriving. Teachers are passionate and care about the students. You're not just a number here.

Total Joke....I took out both my kids and am going to a school in Glendale. Nothing more to say other than this school is a nursery, a baby sitting environment. They try to please the parents by sending out information on what they done. But all of it is smoke and mirrors. There are going to be other parents moving their kids out soon from what I was told because once its realized that the administration is a joke and the board as well. One question is needed to be addressed. Why does the school spend hard earned funds from the parents on "renovating" the office and other places when it was perfectly fine, instead helping needy children with parents having financial difficulty? this is just one of many reasons as to why the administration needs to change for making bad and unwarranted decisions...... signed SK

This school has constantly proved to be incompetent with teaching children basic educational skills, and above all MANNERS. Hovsepian is a joke to all private as well as public schools along with all the parents, teachers, and staff that think that the school is their personal runway. Instead of channeling their energy to beautify themselves they should increase the quality of their education and the values that are taught. The children bully each other on a constant basis, the office staff as well as teachers are completely unorganized and not to mention rude. I would think twice about enrolling and contributing money or time into an institution that arrogantly pockets any type of money that comes their way. I will not be wasting my child's valuable time anymore. I hope this school closes down in the near future. Complete waste.

Very funny that the 5 star comments sound like some the faculty or administration. In fact, they dont listen nor do they even care about the parents concerns. They pretend to do but in reality, they dont. They are only concerned about "their" own agenda and well being, namely their jobs. What I suggest they do is give out anonymous surveys. Then all things will be very clear. I took out my son last year and am very happy with a local private school. They are fabulous. After going to the principle for months, my wife and I had enough of their politics and realized that our son was not where he needed to be. We just wanted some things to change in the school. Like better teachers, better equipment inside the class rooms, better learning environment, more field trips, so our kids can compete. But when you present these ideas, all you get is that it must go through the board. AS if they are running a huge university. These things should be decided by the principle in a timely manner. All they do is stall and stall until the parents give up due to their busy lives. Thank you for the opportunity to write our comments. S.A

This is a great school with dedicated principal and teachers and small class sizes. There are very few schools that listen to parent concerns and suggestions and actually do something about it. The administration, school board and principal go above and beyond to improve the school on a daily basis. The school has improved tremendously in the last few years and continues to do so. It's a very progressive environment where teachers are encouraged to bring outside materials to teach lesson plans. They have very creative programs such as multicultural day, reading and writing competitions, poetry night to name a few. I think the size of this school works to its advantage. Average class sizes are 15-20 students. No child gets left behind here! Everyone cares for one another from the administration to the teachers to the students. My children love the fact that they can interact with different grade levels including older students, who really look out for the younger students. We love that they get such positive reinforcement from their peers and the school. Regarding the previous negative comment, we have never encountered such problems nor had any similar complaints.

This is a great school, and it continues to get better every year because of the extraordinary effort that dedicated parents, caring teachers, the administration, and generous benefactors put into the school. The school also enjoys support from the church leadership and the community at large. My child has been attending St. Gregory Hovsepian for 4 years now, and we have nothing but positive stories to tell.

Hovsepian School has been the answer to our prayers. The teachers are not only very qualified, but the care they show toward the students is unparalleled. The school has a wonderful "Abris" card system where good behavior is celebrated and rewarded. Most of all, we love the small class sizes where each student gets individual attention and help from the teachers. For a small school, we are continuously earning great awards and recognition. Most of all, we love the parents of this school, it's truly a wonderful family environment.

This is a great school! My son learned soooooo much in his pre-k class this year. I never would imagine him doing addition at age 4, but he loves it so much. My son has been attending Hovsepian School for the past 3 years. He is enrolled in the preschool program. He loves the teachers and his friends. Staff is very caring and attentive! Preschool director and administrators are very knowledgable. Program is hands on and they have an amazing armenian curriculum. They speak, sing and play all in armenian. We love it!

To comment back on the comment above about school is begging money statement. Every successful private school has strong Parent Teacher Association. Every successful private school beg for money to make more resources available for their students, hire Great teachers, open library, built gymnasiums for physical education, buy new books every year for students to be up to date. These are the few of the important things that I listed. This school is not asking much from the parents and if they do they have every right to because it s not them that need to worry about your child s education and future, it is us the parents that need to take these things in consideration. If we are talking about begging this school by far is one of the humble and proud schools I have ever seen. They don t ask much just enough to give the best possible education for their students.
