Weizmann has great teachers, personalized attention, small class sizes and a nurturing environment. You hardly hear much about Weizmann before you go there. But don’t let that fool you. It’s like a best-kept secret surprise. The staff is great, there’s very low turnover so you know what they are doing works, and most important, I feel they really, truly care about my child. The staff is experienced, patient and they know how to motivate and bring out the best in kids. Most of the staff has consistently been involved in the school for years, even decades. They are dedicated to the students and they love what they do. Principal is wonderful and has been there for years. I had no idea when we started how much I would love this school. He starts kindergarten each morning with his main academic teacher and then afternoons there’s a rotation of different teachers with art, dance, music, social studies, science, Hebrew immersion language class and judaic studies. There’s a STEM lab. Academics come naturally here, without feeling competitive. He comes home eager to read and try writing. The students are very sweet and inclusive. There’s reading buddies where an upper schooler is assigned a younger student to read to on Fridays. The school encourages positive behaviors and kindness. Parent participation in the classroom is encouraged. I have been in to read a book to the class and been to a few class events and it’s always so much fun! The parents have organized a play date once a week after school and there’s been several PTO events. There’s a nice community here. Before I joined the school, I had looked at larger schools and worried about his access to resources- did he need a band, theater, bells and whistles, etc. It doesn’t feel like we are missing anything, it feels like we are very lucky. They work magic and he gets exposed to a variety of things. He’s been in two performances already. We just love it. There are a mix of Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, inter-faith, secular Jewish as well as non-Jewish families. All are welcome and you can really feel that everyday at the school. Come visit and see for yourself why this school could be a great fit for your family like it was for ours.

We couldn't have asked for a better school. We had to move overseas for work temporarily and were congratulated on the level of academic involvement and compassion towards others that our kids learned at Weizmann.

Our children loved going to Weizmann Day School. They started Weizmann at KG. The school prepared them very well for what came after Weizmann. They had absolutely no problem adjusting to a big, public High School after Weizmann (neither socially nor academically).

Excellent preparation for HS and beyond! My 3 children have now graduated college and 2 of the 3 are 2 years from earning PhDs. They still remember their Weizmann experience fondly and have even returned to visit!

My daughters went to elementary school at Weizmann. We loved this school so much. The teachers are outstanding and so caring. The class size is very small so the children get so much attention. We were always wondered how the academics stacked up but when they switched schools, they ended up rather ahead of the curve. Current teachers have told us they are impressed at what they learned at Weizmann. We also loved that there was a strong emphasis on art, drama, performances, and ethics.

The school is hands on education where the students learn by doing. It's not about memorization it's about interacting in the real world. This is done through weekly field and over night trips.

If you want a school that fosters community, a strong sense of ethics, then Weizmann is the school for you. My husband and I applied to all the top private schools in Pasadena for our child, and in the end, we found that Weizmann was an oasis in the private school world in Pasadena. This is a school where my child has learned the most important lessons in life: acceptance of others and the importance of building community. The facility is awful, but I am a teacher, and I have always said that all you need to create a successful classroom is a one-room school house. Kids don't need smart boards in every room and 10 million dollar computer labs to be academically challenged, create close-knit friendships, learn how to rely on and trust adults, and learn how to play well in sandbox with others.

We have been very happy with this school. It is very small ensuring your child gets plenty of attention. Almost everyone knows one another--students, staff, and families. It's a wonderful and accepting community. Being so small, the classes are excellent at catering to all the kids's needs separately. Kids get extra challenges or extra help, depending on what they need. Another highlight is the Hebrew program. We are simply amazed by the language skills our daughter has learned from only 45 minutes a day of Hebrew. Highly recommend!

Couldn't imagine a better school for our son. Teacher ratio is 6 to 1. Amazing teachers, great technology lab, music program and they even have their vegetable garden!

The small size and community atmosphere at this school are the best. Students are accepted for who they are and warmly welcomed by all. They are encouraged to enhance and share their strengths, and they work towards their highest level of achievement. All of us enjoy the holidays and the programs that make everyone a star!

After a year in public school we found Weizmann. My daughters enjoy going to school each day. They are in a warm, caring environment and they have bloomed. Their learning has also blossomed. For us this has been a blessing all around.

I was concerned that the small size of the school would not offer enough options or stimulation to my children. I was wrong. The school has consistently met the needs of my children. The small size allows every teacher in every grade to know every student in every grade. A really unique feature is their buddy system. The older children are buddied up with younger children for certain playground activities through out the year. This is an opportunity for both children to grow and learn something about different people.
