I went to this school K-8. I am a doctor now and wish I lived nearby to send my child here. Such great memories and an amazing environment to learn and thrive in. Prepared me well for flintridge prep high school. Couldn’t think of a better elementary school

The meetings of the staff including learning, education, and teaching, I enjoy as of me and my experience with the core of the classes of specialties of the center since there are churches around this school leading into custodian.

I love High Point. Both of my girls went there from K-8 and had a terrific experience. The school prepared them extremely well for high school. High Point offers a strong education combined with a nurturing environment, but best of all the kids are nice. When I spent time on campus, the junior high kids acted like jr. high kids vs. 13 year olds going on 20. On top of all this, High Point is a great value for the quality of education.

Our two children have attended High Point Academy since kindergarten. One child has graduated and is attending a highly ranked high school, and the other student is preparing to graduate. Our children have grown so much at this school, and the care and dilligence demonstrated from the teachers is phenomenal. My son struggled with a math concept in one of the lower grades, and the teacher tried testing him in different settings- sitting down on the rug, sitting on a chair in a corner with away from his friends, and a verbal test. The teacher took the initiative to do this on her own and shared with us that he is just easily distracted. That is just one example of the experience we've had.Families are typically focused on a sense of community and a balance of character and academic rigor.

We would rank High Point as 10 out of 10. We highly recommend it for a number of reasons. One of our children just started high school and, thanks to High Point, is very prepared academically to handle the transition. The High Point community is very strong, with lots of parents volunteering and supporting the student body, even after their students have graduated. The school has also done an excellent job of teaching the students essential tools such as time management, working in teams, and effective communication. From an early age, students give class presentations (both to other students and parents) that quickly develop their public speaking abilities. Students also often work on group projects and learn to work collectively towards a common goal. The school emphasizes values such as hard work, kindness, cooperation, and helpfulness. The school also has set up community service projects at all grade levels to encourage giving back to the community. As an example, (pre-COVID) the entire school participated in Rise Against Hunger, a non-profit that provides meals to the hungry. We really appreciate that the school develops both the mind and character of its students.

Terrible-I was even forced out of a tent and left alone to sleep in the wild during a school trip. As a girl, I had to sleep in the boys tent because no one would let me into their tent. This place is disgusting.

This is the first year at HPA for our 2 children and they couldn't be happier. It is truly heartwarming to see the greeted by name each and every morning by the administrators and the teachers. The teachers care about what and how our children are learning and adjusting socially and our kids are thriving! The community of parents are welcoming and so involved, it's easy to see why the children love their experience at this school.

We have two children at High Point Academy and we couldn't be more pleased with the education they are receiving. Teachers are highly trained and truly care about their students. I have found both of my kids' teachers to be responsive when I had any concerns. HPA actively promotes family involvement which we feel is highly important to the well-being of our kids.. Both of my kids love going to school each day!! We truly do love High Point!

High Point Academy is a very caring and inviting environment. I have 2 children, a 3rd and 7th grader, at this school. There is a great sense of Community. The Teachers and Staff, strive to see that all the students succeed, and because of that, the students are very bright, confident and engaged. The School is constantly looking for new ways to keep the students excited about learning, and do an excellent job, keeping up with the latest in Technology and Innovation. My Children look forward to going to school, every day, and as a Parent, that speaks louder than any words or comments about their school. Our family loves this School and would highly recommend, coming to take a look at what could be, the beginning of an amazing journey into your Child's brilliant future.

High Point is an amazing school until Junior High. I love going to High Point because of the scenery and my friends, but the Junior High teachers are a huge problem. I would recommend sending your kid here through 6th grade and then put them into a different school. It's the best choice for your child, trust me I know from experience.

We are extremely pleased with the education our son is receiving at High Point. He is excited to go to school every day and we drop him off knowing he is well taken care of. The class sizes are small and every teacher I have met has been enthusiastic. The level of communication and responsiveness from the school is fantastic - every email I have ever sent has been answered within a day or two. My son is academically advanced and his teacher has taken the time to research how and what to teach him. High Point students take French twice a week, art and music once a week, computer once a week, and PE every day - I think this is great for keeping the kids from getting bored. The homework is a reasonable amount and consists of practicing the concepts they learned that day - not busywork. The school manages to find a good balance between caring for their students and being strict. When we told our son's teacher about a mild bullying incident with another student last year, it was addressed immediately. There is great parent involvement yet there is almost no pressure to donate money, etc. We love High Point and will be sending our younger children there as well.

High Point is an excellent school. The quality of the education exceeds most every school in the San Gabriel Valley. Students are supported and challenged. I've seen my child accomplish far more then we ever thought possible. He's engaged, focused and puts extra effort into his studies on his own accord. The staff are warm and caring with the students. Daily PE and a focus on physical fitness is a definite plus. The art program is AMAZING. Students in art study the Masters and learn not only techniques but art history as well. Starting in 4th grade the students also take instrumental music. The school is well organized and run efficiently. Parents are encouraged to get involved and will find numerous opportunities available. We moved our child here from a "progressive" school and wake up every day knowing we did the absolute right thing. There's no way our child would have received an education remotely close to what he's getting at High Point if we'd stayed at that other school. We know he will leave High Point well prepared for the rigors of modern high school, not to mention with a true love of learning and the necessary skills to succeed.

I am a parent who has been a part of the High Point community for 9 years. I have three children - all attending High Point Academy. High Point provides a rigorous academic environment with a nurturing, personal touch. The teachers truly care about their students and take the time to know them as individuals. The administration is warm and helpful and greets each student by name, every morning. The parent community is diverse and committed to volunteering at the school. My family s experience for my son and for my daughters has been most rewarding.

Our child was accepted to Chandler, Creview and HPA, and we ultimately chose HPA because of its supportive community. The teachers are great, and the curriculum is rigorous. Our child's class is thoughtful, kind and very close, and they treat one another like brothers and sisters. The teachers helped the children with their high school admissions, and even set aside time to conduct practice interviews, placement tests, etc. HPA really cares about their students, and we're thankful for the nine wonderful years our child has had at HPA. I would recommend HPA to any family that wants a great, structured, academic prep school - it's been a wonderful experience for our family!
