We have been here since my oldest, now 6th grade, was in K. The school could not be more supportive of our family needs. There are areas the public schools may be more advanced, and the only area I have found that true is in the math curriculum. But those six months, with kids only oriented to test taking is nothing compared to what Visitation provides in terms of solution-oriented thinking, moral judgement, chatacter building and a ton of academic opportunities not made available in other instutions. My kids have taken spanish and tech since K and PreK. Cursive is part of the academic program in third grade. Selfless service is a focus. Im very proud to call this school home.

I am sorry that a parent feels that the teachers are bullies. Administration cannot do anything about this unless you come in and speak to them about your situation instead of posting such information on a public forum . Please come into the school office to discuss your dissatisfaction.

The bullies in this school are some of the teachers. They intimidate, demoralize and belittle the students. Administration does nothing to rectify the issues.

Excellent environment for my girls. This school offers a good foundation and structure for k-8.

Visitation Academy is a great school and parish community. The students are challenged and supported. There are many after school activities that cater to different interest which is nice (robotics, cooking, basketball, etc.) The before and after care programs are also good and reasonably priced Parental involvement is important to the school. Safety is also a top priority...no one can just walk into the school without having to go through the office first. The school also received the National Blue Ribbon award in 2012 which is a huge honor.

I went to this school since I was in pre-k. As I reached the middle school level the work did get more challenging but when I got into high school I was not prepared. In middle school we did not write paper so it was hard for me to adjust in the work load.

Visitation Academy is simply amazing. My child loves going to school. It's not just that the kids are well-educated and can hold their own, it's also in the way they are treated. The kids are taught how to think on their own, to think creatively and to have the self-confidence to speak up. In this day and age, you need to be knowledgeable but you also need to know how to navigate the world. Visitation provides that learning environment for kids. Fantastic.

My daughter is in Second Grade and is far more advanced than her friend who is in 3rd Grade in Paramus Public Schools. It's evident the Education is much better. In addition, she's happy and well adjusted and loves to go to school.

My daughter has been a student at Visitation Academy for 4 years. We are very pleased with the academic progress and the individualized attention she receives from teachers. The teachers and the principal give the children guidance on all levels.

My son started in this school since Kindergarden. He is on his way into 7th grade. I have noticed that every year the tuition fee goes up and the lesson they're learning in each subject are WAY behind compared to the public school of the same grade... Teachers are assigning too much projects that have no learning experience, nor related to the subject, and costing parents a lot of money to buy prjoect supplies. If it weren't for my son wanting to stay there, i would of sent him to public school. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!

Visitation is School how it should be. The staff/teachers put an emphasis on the individual. My children are well rounded, independent, and confident. I cannot say enough wonderful things about VA. It is the best decision we have made for our kids.
