We are thrilled with our children's experience at Ben Porat Yosef! They are excited to go to school each day and have progressed year to year! They have the most amazing teachers and staff who not only clearly love their job but are extremely attuned to each child's social-emotional needs. The school spirit cant be beat and my kids say it feels like a second home!

The main priority of this school is for the students to speak Hebrew fluently. The English subjects take a backseat and it shows in the student's work. There isn't a spelling program, the writing samples are atrocious, there is limited technology use and the discipline is very lax. There are students in the principal's office constantly. Students run through the halls, the supervision is very limited. There is a lot of freedom for students due to the unstructured atmosphere. Look elsewhere if you care about a good solid education for your child!

They endeavor to teach children two things rarely taught in Jewish Day Schools: empathy and the modern Hebrew language. They succeed at both and it's truly amazing. The only drawback is when you first get there, you are kind of shocked by the enthusiasm the parents have for the school. After you witness it for yourself a while it all makes sense.
