My child has attended this school since 4 years of age and is now in the first grade. This school and it's teachers have constantly exceeded my expectations. I was not taught in a Montessori curriculum and was not familiar with the approach, but now after seeing the results I am a true believer. The teachers are hands on, take an active interest in your child's overall well being, the environment is safe, nurturing, diverse and inclusive and they really instill a love of learning in the children. My first grader has developed a genuine love of reading, and is moving on to do multiplications in math...and he is excited to learn. As a parent I could not ask for more.

The teachers at Ridgewood Montessori are SO wonderful and our two toddlers have had such a warm, safe, and fun experience there! The curriculum and activities are so impressive. We searched far and wide, looking at many schools, and Ridgewood has exceeded every expectation!

Ridgewood Montessori treats us truly like family. The entire staff is warm, helpful, and truly understands the needs of each family and child. They go above and beyond to put the children first, and are so accommodating. The teachers we have had experience with are fantastic. Our children have grown and developed leaps and bounds after just a few months. I highly recommend Ridgewood Montessori School to anyone who is interested in a traditional Montessori school for their kids/family!

Ridgewood Montessori is our extended family. They not only provide education for our children but also instill grace and courtesy. I a very grateful for everything that they do! I cannot recommend this school highly enough.

We love Ridgewood Montessori School. I'm a huge fan of the Montessori method and they do a great job implementing it here. My daughter learned so much, not just in traditional academics -- math and reading, but social and emotional skills as well as how to be a leader, the importance of completing projects, etc. The teachers and administrative staff are wonderful and so open to listening. As with any school, communication is key. And, I was very pleased with how the teachers and directors make themselves available for any questions a parent may have. My child has really blossomed in her most recent year here. I'm thrilled the school has expanded and will soon go up to grade 8 on the elementary side.

Ridgewood Montessori school is a wonderful school. The teachers are kind, caring and very understanding to all the students needs. The school itself is beautiful the classrooms are big, bright and have all the material that you would expect in a montessori classroom. The children are happily engaged during various activities. I am so happy to hear that they are going up to 8th grade.

ok, let me start by saying that the Staff presents a great image of the school .. however, once we got our child enrolled- it was a nightmare. the teachers are more than unwilling to keep parents informed about the curriculum and the progress of the child,. the teachers fail at pointing out areas of improvement. I have heard this from multiple parents as well as experienced first hand: the school takes full credit for a child who is smart and academically advanced but makes no effort to work with a child who needs the guidance. teachers lack patience and "gang up" if you address a concern. Leah (the assistant to the principle) needs to understand that the parents and the children make the school and not just the staff. For starters, a comprehensive course in mannerism and explaining the duties of a teacher should be the priority of the school. please do not waste time here, your child will do much better in another school, this is a day care which they try to pass along as a school.

My kid wasted time here moment he entered public system we realized that we have been paying so much money for nothing. It is a day care center not a proper school. Must complement the school on marketing team who gets the parent enrolled for packages of 20000 a year

I can't say enough about RMS. Both my children attended the school. My older one finished Kindergarten there and the change in 3 years was amazing. He's more than ready to enter 1st grade (in fact, I'd go so far as to say that he could enter 2nd grade). My younger one is in her second year there and loves it as well. I love that they allow the children to go as far as they can. Both my children have excelled and grown in this school in ways I could not have imagined when they first began. The teachers are warm, supportive and caring and treat parents as valued partners in their children's education. The administrative staff is wonderful as well. Very understanding and truly willing to work with families.

Both of my girls (4 years apart) attended RMS. One at the old location in Ridgewood, the other at the Paramus location. My oldest had a hard time transferring from her previous school, however, the teachers and administrators were extremely patient with her and eventually she came to love the school. Her self esteem and confidence level soared and by the time she moved on to kindergarten, there was not one tear - she was ready, both emotionally and more than ready academically. My younger child is currently attending the new location (which is amazing!) and she couldn't be happier. Academically she is so far ahead and she has developed a true love for learning. I am even more pleased than I was before and she loves going to school every day.
