West Oxford Elementary in Granville county is a wonderful school. The staff is amazing. They take pride in every student’s well being and learning. School activities are awesome. I live in a different county and willing to travel the extra distance to keep my child at this school. Would definitely recommend

Both of my daughters attended West Oxford during their Elementary school years. My oldest went on to attend Granville Early College High School & graduate with her diploma & a 2-year Associates Degree. My youngest daughter is currently attending Granville Early College High School as a Sophomore, and I know that the skills & support that they received while at West Oxford helped to prepare them for their Middle & High School years. My son is currently attending West Oxford and has had some amazing teachers that have helped him grow leaps & bounds! We are very pleased with the staff at West Oxford. The staff really do care about the students & want to see them flourish & grow! I myself attended West Oxford as a young child & had no doubt that I wanted my children to attend as well. With the help of us as supportive parents/guardians, the staff at West Oxford can continue to grow & continue to help our youth be amazing!!

My granddaughter has gone to West Oxford for 3 years. She was struggling in the school she was at. We transferred her to West Oxford. Her first year she grew a year and half. She still is below grade level but she is constantly making progress.

My kids are Honor Roll students and are respected by all the teachers. My husband and I are well known as parents who work with the teachers to ensure the enrichment of our children.

The morale at this school is incredibly low. There is a lack of support and resources for the students. The school has been low achieving and is getting worse each year.

This school has been on a steady decline for the worse over the past 5 years. I have 3 children that have attended West Oxford and Credle. It's amazing how much of a difference there is between the two schools. Credle is a way better school- both educationally and administratively. I live the same distance between the schools but the board states that I have to send my two little ones to West Oxford. It's a terrible school and I want them to go to Credle. I have been researching private schools, but then I was thinking about how much I pay in property taxes and feel that I have a right to put these children in a good school in the district that I pay for.
