It was a ok experience. The school was very renovated and received lots of funding. Many teachers do not teach though, and have an attitude towards other races besides white.

As a parent new to the community, I’m impressed with how warm, welcoming, and inclusive the staff is to everyone. Communication is consistent, clear, and efficient. The staff training in Conscious Discipline contributes to the school’s culture of being safe, respectful, and responsible. The staff is committed to every student and will go above and beyond to support individual academic and personal needs. The Principal, Erica McDonald, creates a welcoming environment by being present with students, often seen exchanging smiles and hugs in the car line and at school-wide events. Overall, our family couldn’t have asked for a more positive and highly-effective school community for our children and family.

The teachers and principal are very engaged with the child as a learner, member of the school , and member of the wider community. I love that we have many clubs and activities for the kids to try out. Things like chess, robotics, anti-bullying clubs create new ways of seeing the world.

Its my daughter's second year at OTE. The transition from private to public school has been great. Moore is great in communicating with parents and the teachers are always reachable by email and it's nice to know all the happenings. Only regret is its little over crowded with 23 kids in one class

Great school and help to our kids. There was a comment on here about needing to improve the communication. I would agree with that, they have just changed their method to email this year and I would say it has improved by 100%. We have two kids in the school and they both love it and get the help/support they need. There are some teacher changes that need to happen but I think that is slowly changing. I would say Mrs. Moore has done a great job of putting the right teachers in the right places.

School needs to implement better communication with parents when certain event happen to your child. The principal needs to have better leadership over her staff. PTA involvement is excellent.
