My daughter doesn't want to leave her classmates and teachers, because she loves them all. The dual language program is s gem. Enrichment programs are excellent. Teachers are well trained and kind. In dual language program, Mrs. Malone is a very creative, supportive and attentive teacher.

My son had a great couple of years at Claremont. I was impressed with the music and PE programs, and he enjoyed school wide enrichment programs as well as math challenge. He is doing well academically and I feel like the school is able to support students at all levels. He has had a great teacher and has come home wanting to share what he's learned and explore more on his own.

2013 brought us a new principal (Kate Mathews), a new focus on community, and improving test scores. The Math & Science Fair in the fall was a big success, and our partnership with the Jacob Burns Film Center and the Madden Outdoor Education Center is going to make a big difference for our 4th graders. Claremont may only cover 3rd & 4th grade, but things are really looking up!

My daughter went to this school and my son is currently enrolled for 4th grade. Classes have been well balanced based on academics, ethnicity, special needs and gender. There is structure at recess, lunch and during classes, leaving room to be or become a creative thinker using the tools available to succeed. My son loves to play soccer at recess and my daughter did not miss band nor chess. Math enrichment, the dual language program, the nature trails, the enchanted garden, chorus, the awesome social studies curriculum, as well as the introduction to all sports and roller skating, makes me want to be their age again and enjoy this wonderful environment enriched by the most multicultural body of students!

My daughter is thriving in this school. Her two years here have led her to recieve the highest possible scores on the NYS tests. She has become a believer in her own abilities. I love the enrichment programs created to excite and challenge students and the math challenge program they offer for high-performing kids. In addition to having had great teachers, she has made some wonderul friends that will no doubt last her a lifetime.
