Unorganized, lack of discipline and consequences for poor behavior, all-around struggle for the people in charge and huge lack of support. Teachers are really good and some truly care about the kids. School is not as clean as it should be. Many pros, so many cons.

I was employed here briefly before I resigned. Principal and assistant principal do not roll up their sleeves and get in there to do what is right for kids. Instructional coaches/teachers do all of the heavy lifting. As a title I school, funding is clearly not going to appropriate areas as all staff have to share 1 copy machine and many teachers do not have working document cameras/projectors (the very basics). It’s very sad.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDS WELL-BEING AND EDUCATION, DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE!

I had a daughter in 4th grade, and I was extremely disappointed with the teacher's performance.I never saw any of my daughter's school work for the entire year.Even after begging the teacher for my child's school work,I still didn't see anything. Not even the kids themselves were able to see any of their class work.It was a shame really. She was the worst teacher my daughter has ever had.

It has been a great year for my first grader son, at his old school he would come out crying everyday (it was an A school), here he came out skipping and wanting to come back the next day. He is in ESE and I have never met a better team to work with my son's needs, I am really happy that I chose this school. It has a C rate because most of the students and parents there do not know English thus the low scores on the FCATs. They welcome the parent's help and I was a volunteer this year and got to go to the field trips :) The teachers do everything they can to help the students and they have bilingual programs and ESOL. For me it is a great school, it has been a wonderful experience.

My kindergartner just started going to this school. I like the fact that her class size is small. Parents are encouraged to participate. And I met the principal on just my second visit because she was working in the front office assisting the office staff. At my kindergartner left, I never met the principal, I felt they were trying to keep the parents out, and there were 22 kindergartners to one teacher. Ms Palencia is great with her students and my kindergartner came home happy and enthusiastic about learning and couldn't wait to go back the next day.
