It’s a good school over all. My daughter is very smart has top 8% in the nation and they can’t accommodate her with a gifted teacher

We have had a great experience, this far. Administration not perfect, but the past three years have been fine. I will hope we get a teacher with more experience. It seems we get new hires of transfers. I hope for someone embedded in Deerwood.

We have three children who will benefit from this awesome school. One is graduated and two are current students. We love the teachers at Deerwood. Most of them have a heart for kids and teaching!

I give Deerwood 4 stars out of 5 only because since it has changed to it's current Administration. You can actual feel the tension with the current Administration and the teachers that wasn't there before. Some really great teachers have already left because they simple do not agree on how things have changed and not for the better for them or the students. Which means, I will have to be even more diligent and make sure my girls aren't negatively effective by all the changes. New School/Building doesn't mean better education. Deerwood is a grade A school because of it's wonderful programs for higher learning students, teachers who support those higher learning kids, and parents who support those programs and the teachers. Take away all those great programs (BETA, Blue Eagles, Chess Club, Book Club, just to name a few) and Deerwood will be just another standard elementary graded B or C public school. And that there is a shame. Just keeping it real.

This is not a place that puts all students first. This school is lucky because it's small and most parents are involved, so the teachers have it easy. If your child struggles, don't expect them to improve at this school.

Muy Buena escuela. El personal docente tiene la capacidad para trabajar con todo tipo de estudiantes. No tienen un programa para ni os con idioma del espa ol pero los maestros siempre buscan la forma que tu hijo pueda entender. Estoy muy agradecido mis hijas han aprendido ingles y est n sacando buenas notas. Mi hija esta en Kindergarden y en menos de un a o esta aprendiendo a leer. Las facilidades y estructuras son muy pobres. No tienen lujos pero el personal que esta adentro de ella la hacen ver muy Hermosa. Su hijo se lo agradecer es otra familia extendida.

Great teachers and staff. Administration lacks positive leadership. The great teachers are now starting to leave. What a loss to our community

Great Teacher's and Staff! Great parent Involvement! Principal Leadership needs to be addressed before the great teachers start leaving and parents stop volunteering!

Excellent school...the teachers and administrators are absolutely the best! I could not find a better education for my children if I paid for it!!!

My daughter attends at this school and the staff are excellent. My daughter is in good hands. God bless these teachers!
