I had children in this school for 15 years. We started in year 1. The bullying was terrible. My first child was there for 4 years and we were never able to get it under control, even involving the police. My second child was not bullied. I don't know if it was just the kids my oldest sons age, or if they actually got it under control. My third child is handicapped and was in the SPED program. She was absolutely loved and taken care of. However, they were not good at trying anything new to help her learn. She was given fry words for her entire education there. Just a list of flash cards to memorize for 7 years. Many times she was just one on one in the SPED room instead of being integrated into classrooms like her IEP stated. The last 5 years the classes started getting bigger and bigger. I noticed one had almost 30 kids. I was told they needed to show growth to get more funding. But the class sizes never went down. When the school first started we were told no more than 24 kids per classroom and they would have two teachers. The second "teacher" turned out to be an aid with no teaching certificate that was only there during "core" subjects. The turn over rate in SPED is massive.

This is an amazing school. I am so happy with the expectations of my kids on all levels. I have three children that go to NWA and I have loved all of their teachers. They go above and beyond to make sure our experience here has been and continues to be leaps and bounds above our public school experiences. Which have been with three different public schools in two counties.. those schools were no where near close to NWA in all areas.

- A ParentMy child has been attending since Kindergarten and is now in the final months of 2nd Grade. All of the teachers so far have been wonderful, caring, and willing to work with my kiddo academically and socially. The administration is also very helpful and accessible. We really enjoy this school and how they group the kids into ability groups for math and reading.

We are so very happy at Noah Webster Academy! This is our fourth year here, and we now have two scholars attending, one in third grade and one in kindergarten. We love how the scholars learn about bucket filling and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids. We love how the scholars are put into ability groups for math and reading/spelling so they can learn at their pace instead of being lumped into their grade level. Both of our children are ahead in math and we appreciate that they are able to move forward. We love the staff and administration, and many of the teachers are great personal friends to our family now. In fact we feel a familial connection to everyone at the school. We have children who will be here for 10 more years, and we look forward to every bit of it!!

Our daughter has been at Noah Webster for three years and has made leaps and bounds academically, and socially. She is safe, appreciated by her teachers and peers, and feels that all the kids are equals. Teachers communicate well, using Internet primarily. We love Noah Webster Academy.

Some charter schools are just like public school but turn up the pressure...that's this school. Same big classes, same bullying, but more tests. (This review is from having a child attend there in 2010) Not a great fit for all kids. If your child loves stress and loves to take tests, or you are a Tiger Mom, this school is fine. If your child struggles in a large classroom, or struggles with tests, or struggles to answer questions quickly, it's not a great school, and may result in great anxiety. If your child may need special education services, like speech therapy, you will have to demand it in writing, they won't volunteer it unless the need is severe. My son developed a lot of anxiety there, and I wish I had just put him in a regular public school. I know he wasn't the only one. (He is a bright child who now excels at a rigorous private school.)

After leaving Noah Webster Academy our son continues to get straight A s. We have never asked him to do his homework, Noah Webster taught him to believe in himself, be a self starter, and a solid learner.

A brief experience why we believe we made the right decision to enroll our children at NWA: Last year was our first year at NWA and my oldest son was in 4th Grade. We experienced a lot of tears as he transitioned from his other school to NWA. He left his friends and teachers, but most importantly, his comfort zone. It was difficult! But, by the end of the year, we were experiencing tears again, however, this time, it was because he didn t want school to end and because he was going to miss his teacher! The comment he made to us that was most poignant was, Even though I know I am not the smartest kid in my class, Mrs. Muhlestein makes me feel like I am! Wow, what an impact she had on our son s life, and we are so grateful to her and the other teachers, administration and scholars at NWA for making his first year at NWA so incredible!

Years before we were thinking about where our children would attend elementary school, my husband and I met a family whose children attended Noah Webster Academy. We were so impressed with those children s manners, how hard they worked, and how smart they were and we decided at that point we would do whatever we could to get our children in Noah Webster. In the summer of 2013, when my oldest got accepted to Kindergarten, I couldn t have been more excited! And we have not been let down at all! We love the way the administration, teachers and staff have welcomed us in as part of the family. We are so impressed with how much our son is learning, as he is now in first grade. And we love the 7 Habits. It makes me very pleased when I hear my son saying he is being proactive or being a bucket filler. We look forward to 11 more school years of our children attending Noah Webster Academy!

I didn't truly appreciate Noah Webster Academy until we switched schools at the beginning of this year. I didn't want to drive as far anymore, so we decided to go to our neighborhood school. We only stayed there two weeks. They had started a new math program this year, Fall of 2014, and my kids kept coming home telling me they were doing baby math (they were a year ahead in math at NWA), and the new program focuses on thinking more about math and how you get the answer, than just learning the basics first. I knew it was worth the drive to NWA to give my children an education in classical math. Something that has been proven over time! We love the math and reading groups according to the kid s level, not the whole class. We have had great teachers and a great experience in so many ways at NWA! I am grateful to have the option of sending my kids to this school!

I was a teacher and a parent at this school and saw it grow from the very start. We had to move and go to a public school in another state. I have discovered that NWA is superior to any other school. My girls used to be challenged and loved learning at NWA. I miss the wonderful staff and students! If you want your kids to be challenged and enjoy learning, send them to Noah Webster Academy!

The 6 out of 10 rating here is very unfair because of all ridiculous one-star ratings given earlier. Noah Webster Academy is one of the best schools in Orem. They continue to innovate and improve in their approach to teaching kids, improving their processes, and involving parents. This school has gotten better and better every year.

My daughter went to school here this last year and we absolutely loved it! The teachers were amazing and taught her so much! The staff is always on the same page and so organized. I'm sad that we're having to move so far away, because I've been so impressed with Noah Webster Academy. My daughter had had no previous schooling and completely understands reading, basic math and even her social skills have improved!

Noah Webster academy is a fantastic school that does a great job at helping the individual scholar. The break out groups that focus on ability level are wonderful for my children and have helped them to thrive in each subject We have had some struggle with one child being teased last year and as soon as it was discovered it was taken care of immediately and there have been no other problems. They have also helped my child immensely with problems with anxiety. They have been wonderful and gone above and beyond to help them to be comfortable and learn coping mechanisms to deal with their problems. I have been nothing but pleased in the many years we have had children attending this school.

I love Noah Webster. The curriculum is fantastic. My girls get to be taught at their specific level. Once they are assessed they are placed in the right reading, spelling, and math group regardless of the actual grade.
