We LOVE Westmore! It has a very diverse population with many cultures and the teachers are incredible. We also love the music program, the science program and the school play!

My daughter has attended 3 elementary schools including Westmore. One in Taylorsville and one in Provo. And Westmore is by far the best!I have a lot of health problems and in dealing with that was unable to properly prepare my daughter for school and in just a few months they got her reading up to her grade level that other schools weren't able to do. By the end of the year she was two grades above her grade level. And she loved it always excited to go to school. Her teacher was easily available and flexible when it came to our meetings. Also the principal took time to listen to each child pass off a book that they then got to keep. Also we came out of area because I was planning to move into the Orem area but had not yet made the move and after calling 5 other schools in Orem who turned us down, he accepted her.She thinks their sorting students into houses like Harry potter is exciting and they have other wonderful ways to get the kids excited about reading. There isn't a school that can be perfect for every child but it has been for her. I cannot think of one drawback in her case. My son starts kindergarten this year and I have high hopes he will fit in just as well there!!

My son is currently attending Westmore, and I am not very happy with it. His first grade teacher is not impressive. If your child is gifted, they will be overlooked, and labeled as a trouble maker at this school. Their curriculum caters to kids who are below average.

Westmore recently received an award as one of the top schools in the state for raising student's test scores. I have several children who attend Westmore. They receive an excellent education from skilled teachers who genuinely care about the success of each child. It is, to be sure, a challenging teaching assignment with many students who don't speak English and even more who struggle due to lack of basic necessities. I think the staff does and excellent job in very difficult circumstances
