A good school with dedicated teachers. Each class has no more than 15 kids. They teach all subjects. They also have a Level System for behavior and a Leadership class. Student Leaders are excellent representatives of the school and work with adult Transition students (student with disabilities) on a daily basis. A good school for kids who do not "fit" into the regular schools.

OUSD Community Day School is designed to serve the needs of students in grades 7-12 who have been expelled for any reason, referred by the Administrative Hearing Panel, School Attendance and Review Board (SARB) or probation, and for minors who are on probation or parole and are not currently attending school. The program's purpose is to teach students to make appropriate decisions about behavior and strengthen their academics in order for them to return to their regular school and be successful. All persons are treated with respect in a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment.

Great school for kids who are just going down the wrong path, or who were treated unfairly in other schools. CDS got my son back on the right path, my son graduated from CDS with a 3.7 which gave him many oppurtunites for his future, I know a lot of parents may be unsure about sending their children here, but it is a great choice and i would definetly recommend it.
