The education you get and engage in starts with the student. The school offers many advanced classes and extra curriculum to engage the students. Some teachers are better than others of course. The parents must ALWAYS be their child’s advocate and be involved. Solid education at this high school!

Dr. Stefankiewicz is a terrible leader, he too is inept at handling any crisis or conversation.

good education, great counseling dept. if you want to learn, the staff is there for you. The unruly kids suffer no consequences and disrupt everyone else. :(

In full, unequivocal confidence, I can say that my time at the OTHS has been the absolute worse years of my high school career. Administration has no passion for students and brushes off legitimate situations and victim blames- no real justice is served even with undeniable proof is served (this goes along with Ocean Township Intermediate School, too). Thankfully, there are a select bunch of teachers who are genuine about the well being of students and care for their students deeply. Special Ed is sub-par and makes me think that the only reason OTHS has it is so that they can get their grubby little hands on more funds (which probably doesn't even go towards the program). The case workers there did the best that they could under such circumstances. Student mental health awareness was a joke. In my experience there I watched kids time and time again recover from full blown anxiety attacks only to return back to class so that their grades don't suffer. OTHS is immensely sports oriented, in fact so sports oriented that there are athletes there that can get do anything without repercussions. This school also doesn't pay much attention to the artistic students they harbor, most of which often feel cased off to the side since sports are shoved down the throats daily. Students there have a massive superiority complex, if you look anything out of the social norms, you're outcasted. If the walls of these schools could talk, they'd tell you about the students they've seen relentlessly bullied, how the students that have to be escorted to the nurses office because of how little sleep they get, and how the students there are so deprived of a nurturing educational environment. I thank God that I transferred when I did. OTHS is truly a nightmare.

I'm appalled by the lack of compassion and professionalism on the part of teachers and administration. I would never have bought a house in this community if I'd been aware of the little this district has to offer. I've witnessed unethical staff behavior and have been told countless stories about unfair treatment in Ocean Schools from a multitude of parents and students. I've been thoroughly disappointed with the handling of matters, from major to minor issues. My children are ill-prepared for the future and I blame myself for not doing more research before sending them to the cold halls of Ocean Schools.
