Academically this school is phenomenal, most of the teachers and staff are dedicated to learning and ensuring the kids are learning not only what is required but beyond. Most teachers are wonderful and truly care about the children but with anything else there are a few bad apples in the bunch...some teachers are very cruel and do not seem to care how they make a child feel with their unkind words and nasty demeanors. The principal truly cares for the children but is very out of touch with today's world and how children act in the present times, she tends to be hands off with respect to bullying and does not see the children as individuals. The school does have special education programs through the county but most teachers do not read the IEP's and the school does not take the recommendations made and implement them like they should. Parents literally need to be on top of their child's teachers if they have an IEP or no accommodations will be upheld. The principle is out of touch in general and half the time knows nothing about what is going on in the school in regards to how the children are bullying each other. There is no school counselor so if a child is having emotional difficulties they are sent to the principle who is not equipped nor educated enough in that field to do the child any good. My child loves the school in general and academically is very ahead but the school does lack in other areas. There is more to learning than academic knowledge. I wish the school did more for the social emotional learning as well as school dances and trips.

St Jerome’s sounded like a great option in the beginning but after two years my children were miserable. Not because of the work, or the rules but because some of the teachers there should not be around children period. They yell, are lazy, beyond rude and say things to children that should never be acceptable. The principal overlooks poor behavior by her staff regardless of how many complaints she receives. Athletics are non existent, socialization: clubs, dances etc. aren’t important and get little attention, Field trips won’t happen. The person that mainly answers the phones is usually very rude and abrupt. There is a reason St Jerome has a reputation for being the strictest and worst Catholic school in the general area. There are some very good teachers in the school, but the bad ones are just really bad. They need new leadership soon or someone that is willing to do what is necessary to make kids and the joy of learning the priority again.

I have my daughter assisting to Saint Jerome's school, and she is very happy to be there. Academically and personally she is growing and learning to be a good and caring person, as well as being a good student. I am very happy with the school, but more importantly is that she loves to be there! The teachers from first grade and second grade are truly amazing, they go above and beyond to make sure their students are learning, I haven't have experience with the others grade teachers, so I don't have an opinion. The principle of the school is very dedicated to the school and I appreciate all her work. I feel that every adult at the school work as part of a great team, and that make Saint Jerome's school a wonderful school!

This school is light years ahead of the public schools in every district. Teachers who completely care, staff is genuine. I am thankful everyday for what my son accomplishes at St Jerome's. I would never ever consider using the public school and I supposedly live in a good school district. Community, self respect, giving, and raising up the other children to be their best, that is what I see happening every day.

Was happy with the school for the first couple years. Then things started going down hill from there. Issues with teachers, the lady who answers the phone at the school is beyond rude, the sisters do not handle school issues very well, smoking aloud by the staff right outside the door of the school, I could go on and on. Needless to say my child no longer attends St. Jerome and is much happier and enjoying the new school and the ability to actual have a feeling of being able to chose who is a friend or not a friend instead of being forced. I have recommended St. Jerome in the past but no longer do. I feel bad for the parents I have spoke to that want out of the school also but due to their living locations are stuck.
