Great staff, wonderful schools. No place is perfect, but we've been very happy here with the individualized attention and quality of education. One of my kids is a graduate and currently in college, the other is at the jr/sr high school; both have had very different needs and both have had/are having a very positive experience.

Great teachers and principals. Students can be involved in many activities due to the small size. Needs improvement in the special education area..

The educators at this school are TOP NOTCH! I have never had teachers that do out of their way to help my children become the best that they can be. Two of my children are out of college and have successful careers. I attribute their success to this school district.The high school teachers have rigorous teaching styles that will prepare you child for college if you child is ready to learn.

Caring teachers, counselors and principals who are always available and responsive. Variety of options for such a small school. Safe, small environment with a lot of individualized attention and opportunities.

Moved here from Harrisburg for the start of our son's Freshman Year. Great school. The staff at Open House night seem to really love their jobs and their professions. The number of kids in the Class size was small, but not too small...and we didn't want a large school, where the kids can get lost in it.They seem to be very nice students and don't see any bullying. Great location along the River. Very homey.

My senior at Riverview has had so many wonderful experiences above and beyond the classroom. Travel has been a big part of her life at RHS. New York, Chicago, Nashville, Virgina, Toronto, and planning Rome this spring. The Model United Nations program has taught her so much about world affairs, politics and public speaking. The teachers try to teach the kids to enjoy learning. This Public School goes above expectations to develope kids into positive members of society.

My daughter graduated in the class of 2011. This was a WONDERFUL school. I did not grow up here, I grew up in another location outside Pittsburgh then left for the military. 24 years later as I was preparing to finally move home with a daughter going into 6th grade, I researched the area and schools carefully. I didn't care for my old high school, so I began researching online and found the Riverview School district my #1 choice. My daughter loved this school district. She flourished here and the school is small enough where the teachers are really one-on-one with you. There are plenty of activities for extra curricular activities to keep the kids occupied and prepare them for the honor rolls. I was amazed at how many of the students are on the honor rolls here. Someone on here (a student naturally), commented on the school going down hill. All I can say about that is this, that comment came from a student, not a parent, and I HIGHLY DISAGREE with that assessment. This school district and it's teachers are the best! I have ZERO regrets for relocating back home into this school district. I was blessed to have found just the right place to raise her.

Riverview School District, Oakmont/ V erona PA is the school that all 3 of our children and 8 grandchildren attended . There are many advantages to Riverview including that a student can participate in many extracurricular activities and also receive an excallent education including a recent addition of required Financil Literacy class. Because of the small size, teachers can be familiar with any student problems and assist them or refer to proper helpers. Forbes Career Technical is also available. Grades have enabled most of them to attend colleges of their choice.

I am a current student at Riverview High School and can say the school has really slipped in the last few years. When I was in middle school a few years back, most students were doing great with keeping their grades up and keeping good behavior. Today, half of the senior class is missing credits and there are more fights and bomb threats than I have ever seen before at the school. If you move into the district, really consider talking to some of the current students that go to school here before making your kid put up with the unsatisfactory teachers and administration.
