I am a parent of children who attended Middlefork Primary School, and we have had an extremely positive experience with the teachers and the community. Class sizes are small, and my kid's received excellent support from the teachers and faculty.

I have 2 grandsons who just graduated from the third grade and have spent the last 4 years at Middlefork. Class sizes are small with a very good teacher-student ratio, children are encouraged to develop social and learning skills without undue stress, the faculty is extremely caring and professional, and the overall environment for the children is nurturing and safe. This is an extremely good school.

We have sent all four of our children through Middlefork, my youngest graduated in 2011. Middlefork still has the same principal today, and all I can say is "WE LOVED HER!!!". We always found her to be sensitive and kind and we believe she genuinely loves all the children at Middlefork. Unfortunately, that may mean having to be firm with inappropriate behavior in school, as any good parent would. Our experience was that she worked tirelessly, and while my children were there, she was clearly the glue that held the school together. I have no knowledge of the prior reviewers circumstances, I can only say that our experience could not have been more different.

This is an absolutely wonderful school for any child to attend, but to be honest it ran a lot more smoothly before the current principal. I never had any problems with the school system until my youngest started attending. She has a way with words that reduced my youngest son to tears recently, and from what I have gathered this is not an isolated event. Since it is only an elementary school I think we will just tough it out until they can go to Sunset Ridge, but if this school lasted longer then the third grade there is absolutely no way I would keep my child there. Aside from the principal the staff there is amazing and the classrooms are all well stocked with new books, art supplies, and even ipads for special times. I have been to a handful of PTO meetings and it sounds like the budget is going in positive directions (with the exception of pretty much everything proposed by the principal herself. I don't feel like the money going to our school should be spent on self watering planters and things of that nature). Overall it is a good school, which is unfortunately run by an inadequate principal
