When we moved here Ridge Road was rated an 8/10 by Great Schools. It has been steadily declining since. Staff are dismissive and unmotivated. Admins are disconnected and kids are left to fend for themselves. Parent advocacy is nonexistent and when requested, the school principal (who has been reported to the district superintendent - his former mentor - multiple times) goes on the offensive to threaten parents. The district does nothing. This school is nothing more than a petty fiefdom for its admins. Kids have no chance here. Go anywhere else.

If your child is in need of any sort of testing be prepared to fight for your kids rights. These people do not care about your kids well being. They sweep it all under the rug to avoid any sort of testing. Horrible school. Shame on them.

I agree with the last review. Far too many times we’re given to rectify a situation for my child and yet Mr. McLaughlin did nothing. He only cares about his public persona, he doesn’t care about the best interest of the students. He must LEAVE! Being a high school English teacher in this district DOES NOT make you qualified to educate children their formative years! North Haven has to do better!!!!!

I Don't Recommend this Principal from ridge road school Christopher McLaughlin. There were issues that were bought to his concern from the begin of the school year and never forward to the correct people. Of course when Christopher didn't do his job from the begin and notify the appropriate individuals like teacher etc. The Teachers don't know what's going on and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth as a father. I have no respect for people like him. He is a principal its his duty to rely info when its given. Christopher McLaughlin assured me he would pass along the correct information. I filed a complaint with the north haven superintendent office against Christopher McLaughlin for his actions. There was one other thing that makes me very upset Christopher McLaughlin, That he tried to make it seem like he was being threaten by me when I was just upset that he didn't do his job from the begin. He never took no action on his mistake. Christopher McLaughlin and his actions have shown nothing more than who he is as a person. I would choose very carefully over what school you send your child too.

Ridge Road is an outstanding elementary school. Tremendous commitment from teachers and administration. The music program is wonderful. Great community and parent involvement.

Not a good school... PERIOD. Physically abusive teachers, Students are graded based on teachers opinion not academic work.... TALK TO YOU CHILDREN!!!!
