Terrible school with terrible administration. They don't care about the children's growth or the fact puberty is a natural process. School should be shut down. All schools should be shut down. What's the point of having remote technology but not using it?

If your thinking about sending your child here I urge you to find an alternative. Especially if your child has special needs. Don’t expect them to do anything to educate your child in academics. They will offer no special services and the district will never consider an outplacement even if your child has shown no sign of improvement. Any special needs children will be sent to a “life skills” program where they will learn to fold laundry and sort silverware. This is not the teachers fault but their superiors and the district’s. They couldn’t be more obtuse. They aren’t required to give your child the Cadillac of education but they think the horse and buggy will be just fine. This town is broke and has no money for a child who needs help. They spent it all on building this school with it’s atrocious airport terminal architecture and the unnecessary overpriced police station. So if you’re thinking of moving to Hamden find another town. This place is on it’s way to being grouped with Waterbury and Bridgeport. Stay far far away.

Hamden Middle School for me was honestly very challenging in 7th grade I came from a school that had much lower standards and now I'm happy that I'm here as I feel like I will be able to go through high school and college by using the skills I learned here. The teachers are great, funny and love to help you learn new concepts I highly recommend Hamden Middle School!

I have been very happy with Hamden Middle School. I have one child who matriculated through this school and another currently attending. The facility is new and kept very nicely, Principal Levy is very approachable and dedicated. I have always felt welcome and respected when I came to the school for any reason. There is a great system for parent communication called the Parent Portal which really keeps you in touch with your child's progress and daily assignments. The school is extremely well organized into smaller teams of students and teachers which is so important when you have a student body as large as Hamden's. The team teachers work together in a coordinated effort and I have been impressed with the teaching staff. I would recommend this school.

this school is ok, however there are to many distractions in this school and some teachers are a little out of hand.
