On my son’s first day of kindergarten, the staff bothered my son about a scrape all day and called DHS. They didn’t feed him lunch, or help him feel comfortable and remove his coat. All they did was judge him and jump to conclusions about his life at home. They kept the parents in the dark. My son had 3 different stories about how he got this scrape. He had to come up with 2 more, because the staff wasn’t satisfied with his initial explanation. Even the DHS agent felt that communication with the child at school felt coursed. The situation seems unprofessional and unsophisticated. I would not recommend this school.

My daughter is delayed in several areas. At an official meeting the 1st questions asked of me about my daughter by the director of "special education" was, "so is she adopted or yours biologically?" The question angered me but i put it out of my mind until a month later it was the last answer to the question, "Why are these people treating us so badly?" My daughter is bi-racial and there is no doubt that we were discriminated against. I pulled my daughter (after 3 months of harassment and refusal by the superintendent) and she is now a happy child at Blossom. If i had the time and resources i would sue them but i prefer to let it go and know that the way my daughter and i were treated will not be in vein but hopefully warn other parents. The above question should never be asked of any parent. It should be considered an automatically descriminitory question. My daughters report cards reflected from her teacher at north bay.Her report cards are now very good with much effort from my daughter and much praise from her teacher. As a side note if you are refused transfer you can take it to the board of directors for review and ask them directly.can over rule the superintendent.
