As a parent of a child that graduated from Lighthouse and went into the local school district, I am excited about the skills he possessed when he entered school. He had not experienced the kind of bullying he witnessed but was past the point where it impacted his developed self-esteem. At Lighthouse, he learned how to learn and how to love knowledge. His skill at empathy and finding the strengths in others proved a valuable asset in building and developing teams. It also taught us as a family that being involved in your child’s education models that learning and school is important. We have made “forever” friends at the school and will always cherish those relationships.

as a parent of a former, long-time and well-known student, i commend this school for giving her the alternative to what she did have when i first enrolled her there, in 1st or 2nd grade. she went from crying right before she got on the bus everyday and hating her teacher to learning to love school enough that she is now an A student in high school. not everyone is lucky enough to have a wonderful school like this in their community. take advantage, if you can!

Lighthouse is a public charter school, they have small class sizes - a 'family' atmosphere, and they use multiple teaching views in order to tap into everyone's ability to learn.
