Providence put my special needs child on a trial basis before being accepted to their school just because he/she had an IEP. They made him/her attend summer school before freshman year started to see if he/she fit their criteria. That alone should have been a red flag! Once enrolled, my child was discriminated upon based off their special needs. As an ADHD child he/she received detentions for "not sitting still in their seat" Steer clear if you are looking for support with a child with special needs. The dean even openly admitted the teachers treated my child unfairly.

Parents should research carefully before choosing PCHS. We enrolled our child this year as a Freshman based on its reputation for encouraging moral and ethical behavior and enrolling kids of families who felt the same way. We realized too late that serious lapses in morality by, not only kids but also their parents, are swept under the rug in the name of big donors after a supposed "investigation". If you are considering Providence for your kid(s) and truly are seeking a school that practices what it preaches, I would urge you to look somewhere else.

I attended Providence Catholic over 30 years ago, and my high school experience impacted me for life. It was a welcoming, spiritual school that prepared me extremely well for college. I wanted the same high school experience for my two sons. Yes, it was a financial sacrifice for our family, but worth every penny! My sons absolutely loved going to school every day. They even eventually thanked us for sending them to PCHS, once they realized what a gift it was. A parent will never regret spending money for an education that is priceless.

All 4 of our children attended Providence Catholic - by their individual choices. The truly love Providence. The academic preparation was excellent - all have done great in college and 2 are now in elite graduate programs. But what they talk about the most is the spirit of Providence - both the family atmosphere and the spirituality program - they even come back from college to attend all-school masses at Providence.

Excellent academics. Wonderful feeling of "family". We have our 4th son at Providence now and all 4 love/ loved it. The 2 oldest are now in the major/university of their choice because of Providence Catholic.

Providence has exceeded all of our expectations for educating our son. We cannot say enough good things about the education, the spirituality, the family atmosphere. In his own words: "Going to Providence was the best decision we ever made". Again in his own words, "I love going to school every day". Given those comments, PCHS was the best place for him. He was definitely challenged academically and pushed to do his best inside the classroom, on the playing fields and in our community. We consider it a great investment in his future. He is ready for college and what lies after his schooling is done.

Providence Catholic is the BEST high school. We are so happy our boys chose to attend this wonderful school. From the teachers, administrators, coaches and students, PC is everything our boys dreamed it would be. We couldn't ask for more. It is home to all of us!

I have had 2 students graduate from Providence and are now on scholarships at 2 different universities. One was a gifted student and the other was a student who liked to do the bare minimum. I feel that Providence pushed and challenged each of these kids in their own ways. They provide an excellent education that more than has prepared them for college. I currently have a Freshman there now.

I had two children graduate from Providence, both received academic scholarships to universities. They tell you at orientation that they are college prep and expect your students to excel academically. It is not the right choice for everyone. I have read comments that the school does not cater to those not academically gifted. Not true one of my children was not as gifted as the other. That did not matter after hard work they both successfully received academic scholarships. There is some parenting that needs to take place for a child's success. There is a wide range of incomes so some children are very well off and others are scraping to get their education. With that being said they expect you to perform and hold you to that belief. That teaches responsibility at an early age. What more can you want a young adult to learn?

This school is mediocre at best. All they worry about is money. Seems like the families with money can get away with their child(ren) getting into trouble there. There is no leadership there. The president, Father McGrath, principle, Don Sebestyn, assistant principle, Janelyn Auld are terrible administrators and are very rude. I do not know how they have jobs still. The football players do not get into any trouble at all. For things that go on with them, they would be suspended in other schools but not here because agod forbid something happens to the football team. This school is very overrated and very expensive. Tuition gets hiked up a few hundred dollars every year. I honestly think any other public school would be much better than this dump.
