My family has been paying an arm and a leg to be harassed by a teacher. My nephew has been grabbed so hard he had bruises and his “teacher” calls while a parent is at work to yell at them about not RESPONDING to emails that were never received. I do not think this would be worth the tuition and is not a great place. I’ve considered trying to see about registration but honestly I hope my sisters remove their kids from this institution. No one should feel bad about going to school or afraid of their teachers. Hoping the people in charge consider re-interviewing their teachers.

The best decision we ever made. We transferred our kids to this school from public school. We couldn't be any happier! Kids jumped much higher academically. Friendly and kind environment. Teachers are very nice but also strict. Great discipline! Highly recommended!

I have 2 children enrolled in St. Jude currently with another one starting next year and I can say that it has been money well spent. They get far more attention than they would so at the public school due to the smaller class size. They also offer full day pre-school and kindergarten that you cant get at the public schools.

My child is in his fifth year at this school. It's the best money I spend on his development as a human being. The Helping Hands program teaches the children to help people in need. Every staff member knows my child's name. We feel very fortunate to give him a strong academic experience and we feel confident that he will be well prepared for high school. The 2017 graduates received some of the highest scores on the Providence High School entrance exam. Thank you to the teachers for doing a great job!

This school (including parents) are very welcoming. It has such a warm atmosphere. The administration, teachers and staff are wonderful. I was so proud my child attended a school where their champion basketball team had true sportsmanship in every single game instilled by their intelligent coaches.

I am a parent who has had 2 children graduate from the school. Was it expensive? Yes, but it was worth every penny as I see both kids excel academically and socially in high school. Did I agree with every decision made at the school? No, but for the most part, I was happy with decisions made. St. Jude will probably trail some of the public schools in amenities but the way my kids were pushed to excel in the class room put them in the position to succeed in high school. You are not part of a "system" that has to churn out kids unprepared for their next level of education. You are expected to give your best academically every day. The most recent valedictorian of Providence H.S. as well as 3 of the top 10 scores on the most recent Providence entrance exam were St. Jude grads. I can't believe the below comment about the athletics and extra curricular activities. St. Jude has a not-cut policy for athletics, giving kids who couldn't make a team in the public schools, a chance to play a sport they might not get to play in the public schools. And to this day, I still enjoy socializing with parents of my children's former classmates.

I will premise this point with (I am not a teacher) but a parent who has two children at St. Jude now. I am however on the school board so I have some insight into the education, tuition costs and challenges any school faces now with the economy the way that it is. This school is superior to the NL schools an that is a fact, just look at class sizes alone, or how about the Kindergarten program which is all day compared to NL's three hour at best program. I also need to address the partying, drinking comments, it is called socializing, community which any intelligent person knows you do not get at a public school so why even compare the two, it is embarrassing that the person who said this doesn't understand that at a public school you do not need to have fundraisers. It does not need to be a constant competition and bad mouthing, it is your choice to where you send your kids to school, sending your kids is a sacrifice you make as a family if you live in this area with the taxes being so high already but the fact is that St. Judes is a bargain if you truly care about your kids education and faith development.

We currently have two children enrolled at St. Jude's. We have found the teachers and the principal to be concerned, actively involved, and willing to listen to parents about issues with their child's education. The family atmosphere encourages parental participation in every way, from recess duty to the school board. We love this school and we know you will too.

Speaking from experience with our child attending a public school and St. Jude Catholic School in New Lenox, it is common knowledge that Catholic schools provide a more challenging curriculum for most students and promotes morals and ethics, while building family and community relationships.

St. Jude is a close family oriented school. My son was valdictorian of his class and was well prepared for High School . The teachers are warm and friendly. All the additions that are being made to the school prove that it is growing and succeeding.

As a parent who sent a child here from 4th thru 8th grade, I have to say that there are so many more positve traits than what;s being protrayed here. My son was not one of the more popular students and had a learning disability. His teachers were very supportive and had many helpful suggestions. He is in high school now and continues to communicate with his English teacher from St. Jude when he needs help or advice. That doesn't sound like an uncaring staff to me. The school has spent much money and time improving the school-new tile floors,a renovated Computer lab, Smartboards in almost every classroom, a new preschool, etc. Does this sound like a school going down? I don't think so. It sounds like a school striving to grow. See for yourself. Don't judge something before you've seen it for yourself.
