NHS has a few good teachers that are doing the best they can, however, overall the school is very disappointing. Inconsistency in handling issues, teaching only to pass tests, sports placed over academia, lack of critical thinking skills, no accountability, and an administration that relies on bullying tactics instead of respect and communication. I have never before seen or heard so many students who truly HATE high school, or teachers who can't stand their jobs. High school is supposed to be the best 4 years of our lives. Sadly, at this school, that's not the case. It's not an "overcrowding issue", it's a character issue. The district teaches character building, but it is more of a "do as I say, not as I do" from the talking heads, instead of a behavior system the faculty and staff live by, and the kids (and parents) see right through it. The students are learning this behavior through daily interaction and it will, unfortunately, shape their lives in a negative way. So very sad. Can't wait to take my kids OUT of this school.

Neosho school system is GREAT! My dad graduated from there in 1961, I graduated from there in 1983, my sister in 1986, my oldest son 2007 who was also Class President, my second son in 2009 & my youngest son will graduated in 2022! I obviously have had several years dealing with Neosho Schools and at least 8 more to go! Speaking from experience I wouldn't want my kids going anywhere else! Neosho is a very supportive community- GREAT PLACE to raise kids!

This school has gone way downhill. It used to be a school full of fun and school spirit. Now there are fights EVERY day. Most students are depressed and wanting to run away. The staff have no concern for the kids. The teachers ,at least most of them, don't care about there job. This school is REALLY sad.
