This school does not provide adequate support for students with disabilities. Infact my child is forced to be home learning virtually with a learning disability. The school will force you to sign legal documentation or threaten your child's future if you do not adhere to what they want. There is no support given even with a child who qualifies for an IEP. They mark everything as a behavior tick against your child even when there is proof that it was not intended like that. So, if your child says something and anyone takes it the wrong way weather you meant it like that or not it is counted against your child even if proven that is not what happened. This school allows "furry's" to wear cat ears etc. but will not allow a hat or any other article of clothing they Deam "distracting". I wish I never sent my child there. Switching schools is also not an option, without major repercussion for my child as they squeezed that into one of the long lengthy documents that I signed unknowingly.

I wish I could give a better rating because it's so heartbreaking how horrible the administration is at this school. My kids were treated better when they attended a title 1 school near Milwaukee. The culture here is so toxic and lack ethics of any kind towards the students. There are endless (and I mean good luck remembering them all) arbitrary rules. Break anyone of those (no matter how good a student you are) and the consequences are harsh and unforgiving. The expectations on these kids is ridiculous and completely hypocritical because they don't even hold their own staff to those same standards. Administration harasses, shames, and blames kids in such an unprofessional way. These are college educated adults in their chosen profession not being held accountable for their actions. We are talking about gossip, violations of privacy, no autonomy, screaming, pending of fists, and zero repercussions. Minor offenses are literally watched like a hawk and immediately dealt with in front of everyone. Amazing talented kids, who are well behaved, dress coded for things that are so minor. They create lists of offenders, distribute them to all staff and they are forever labeled "bad". Toxic, harmful. Not trauma informed or even developmentally sound practices. I shutter to think what anyone holding a doctorate degree in the mental health field would say regarding the way this school is run. If you have a choice... run far away!

This district is racist, discriminates on the basis of gender, and discriminates on the basis of disability. I cannot believe this has been allowed to continue for so long. We all just received a notice from the superintendent that they will "vigorously defend" against a lawsuit based on their discrimination against children suffering from gender dysphoria. I am ashamed to live here and have my children be on the "Indians" team, and have policies that block children with disabilities and homeless kids from enrolling in the school system. Despite being ordered by the State and court system, this district continues to use discriminatory policies to harm the children they are supposed to protect and teach and encourage to grow in a healthy way. It makes me sick.

People may look at student test scores, graduation rates, and high post-secondary education numbers and think Mukwonago is great . They are wrong. Those results are due to great and supportive families in the community and many wonderful and resilient students. As far as the educational environment is at the school...it is the worst I have ever experienced. I am a current educator who has had experience in a variety of school systems, and have never experienced an environment so devoid of putting the children first. My children are A students, athletes, and very respectful. This district is full of kids just like them! It pains me to see how they are treated by teachers and administrators. The school is run like a prison and their personal needs don't matter in the least compared to the teachers' ease, 'rules' and what works best for them. They hide under the "I am preparing them to be an adult," serving punitive consequences for small incidences that can only be described as kids making mistakes and learning...mistakes that even adults make. Instead of supporting and coaching through a process of growth, they serve strict consequences without remorse. These children love the school because of their friends and sports, but hate going every day because of the unsupportive and unkind staff. Instead of learning to be kind and responsible young adults, they fear consequences. They fear getting yelled at and shamed. They fear making mistakes with tests and homework because of instead giving kids time to review results, learn from mistakes and grow, they are shamed for not working harder. Even asking questions in some classes is a scary feat. When stress results in emotional exhaustion, anxiety and others psychological issues, their mental well-being is not considered, it is devalued, and even mocked. This results in further fear and anxiety. It is sad that the school will send out letters regarding how important student mental well-being is, but is absolutely contrary to their actions of literally not caring for how the kids feel and what their needs are. As a parent, my requests have even been ignored or my children faced retribution for reaching out. Students are treated differently due to gender, race, the sports they play, and even temporary disabilities. I have many examples of heinous situations to list. Mukwonago is filled with wonderful children and families, but to subject them to the staff at the high school is heart wrenching.

Horrible, the school is turning less like a school and more into a prison.

Overall good, kind of challenging but I think it is reasonable. They push college and sports a bit
