The headmaster has her finger on the pulse of the entire school...teachers, students, parents, administration. That type of leadership translates into a focused and strong community that is absolutely devoted to developing lifelong learners.

Our family loves MDS and we have been 100% satisfied with the education our children have been provided.

Morganton Day School is where dreams come true. The low teacher:student ratio is just the beginning. Students are taught HOW to learn, not just given random facts to memorize. The majority of instructional time is experiential. There is an amazing Maker Space on campus. They have a strong focus on S. T. E. A. M. for middle school students. The elementary school is based on the IB program. Your child is not just another body at MDS. Every teacher there will end up knowing all your child's strengths and weaknesses and be able to focus on those strengths while also turning the weaknesses into strengths across all areas. The art room & teacher are wonderful. The PE teacher does a wonderful job of keeping the children active and teaching them how to be conscious of their own health. Students take Spanish from Junior Kindergarten - 8th grade. Parents help make every event run smoothly. It truly is a happy place. Every child deserves an education from Morganton Day School.

Morganton Day School is a great option. Class sizes are small and teachers allow children to work to their potential. Technology is not only taught but is used in everyday classroom learning. Spanish, music and art are also a part of the curriculum starting in Junior Kindergarten. My oldest child's favorite part is reading partners where kids across grades K-5 pair up to read to each other everyday after lunch. Highly recommend this school.

This school is excellent and my daughter has excelled in every sense of the word. The global curriculum is exactly was I was looking for and the low student teacher ratio along with the hands-on approach is exceptional. The only regret I have is not enrolling her sooner!

Morganton Day School is a great fit for my children. Both of my kids are above grade level in reading and math. But with small classes, the teachers still have plenty time for fun activities, outdoor breaks, library trips and character education. Spanish language and technology classes for all grades is a great way to prepare our kids for the future. Anyone looking at elementary school or middle school in Morganton should visit the Morganton Day School

This is an amazing school! Having an IB school in such a small town is such a blessing. It is hands learning at its best. The IB curriculum is sought after all over the country because of the incredible way it is taught, the rigorous academics, and the joy of learning the kids experience. Our teachers are qualifies, energetic and dedicated to our kids. The school keeps getting better!

The 2011-2012 was a banner year for the school: We realized a record-high enrollment (slightly over 100 students); we were awarded a $70,000 grant to infuse the campus with cutting-edge technology; increased revenues and decreased debt strengthened our already strong balance sheet; we earned recertification in the internationally-recognized IB program, and our teacher retention was high. As chairman of the board of trustees during 2011-2012, I was proud of the of our leadership, faculty, students and staff for these significant results. -- Allen VanNoppen

I can not say enough good things about this school. I know that my child is receiving the best individualized education. They are being taught to develop a life long love of learning. My child comes home everyday and tells me school was great! I know that not only does his teacher challenge him and help him to grow as a person each day but every other teacher there knows him and takes a personal interest in him. You can not beat the teacher student ratio of no more than 14 students to 1 teacher. I highly recommend!

Don't waste your money. Nothing more than what you can get at the area public and charter schools. High teacher turnover and very unsupportive administration. Used to be great but now is nothing special.
