We love Del Lago! It’s a small, intimate community-focused school. Definitely not the type of school where you and your kid(s) are just numbers - they really care. The PTA is amazing and super supportive to every kiddo and circumstance.

Tiny but mighty school. We love our neighborhood school. We have amazing teachers who are very dedicated and a close community of parents who are very engaged.

We enrolled our kids pre omicron and worst school experience our kids have ever had.My son has ADHD and they do not have Special education classes only someone who takes him out from time to time to work with him. My son was disruptive as we expected but the teacher made him a target for kids to bully. She told the entire class to make sure to let him know if he hits or touches them. How do I know this? She told my wife in front of all the parents loud and also told her how disruptive he was. So kids would intentional bait him into reacting and he would get in trouble. On top of this we was assaulted every day at the playground. Pushed off the side twice by the same guy in 2 different days and another kid got him on the ground and was pulling his foot and terrifying his ankle so hard that multiple kids had up pull him off of him and help my Son up. Where were the adults? Another kid punched him in the stomach so hard he fell down and finally an adult shows up just and blew his whistle and yelled at my son to get up while the other kid walked away without punishment. My younger son witnessed this so he told us I'm detail without discussing with my other son first so it wasn't something both of it. My younger son was choked and tripped the last day they were there. We reached out to the principal several times and he always defended his staff and said well that from a 6 year olds perspective. Yes my son is that young which makes it so worse. No one there to protect him or keep him safe. Only kids to taunt him, belittle him and attack him and teachers to make him feel even worse when he'd get back to class and misbehave trying to leave several times. I don't blame him for wanting to leave. The principal told us we had no option on transferring him to another class or school. Unacceptable by any means. If your kids has a disability and can be disruptive this school may not be the best choice. Safety and preventing bullying should come 1st week education but they do nothing about it only offer excuses and turn it around.

I have loved ALL my daughter's teachers so far (K 1 2 3) at Del Lago. My only complaint is that I felt there was too much homework for her age/grade during 1st and 2nd grade. I guess this is teacher-specific because homework this year (3rd) is much lighter.

It's really gone downhill the last few years. Grouchy, burned out teachers, except for Mr. Garrett and Mrs. Kirby who are great. Some of these older female teachers should retire soon. Needs more male teachers. There are only three men in the whole school. Two male teachers and the custodian. Having a male leader or principal would be great too. Mr. Snyder is missed. Employ some men, please! I'd feel safer at this school if there were some more strong men on campus, just in case muscles and strength are ever needed. The school is old and needs a more modern look to it. It's an eyesore unfortunately. My children have complained for years that they're bored and do not like going to school. Why are they so bored? What the heck is happening in the classrooms, or not happening? It makes me consider homeschooling them even more.

The principal, Don Snyder was gracious enough to give me a personal tour of the school and the special ed dept, which my little girl will be in for the 1st grade this Sept. Don Snyder is wonderful. What a shame he will be retiring this June!

My kids have Constantine for kinder and Kastorff for 3rd. They are amazing teachers, the kids are learning a lot every day! Sadly the Principal is leaving this year for retirement, he's been amazing with the kids. Hopefully they'll bring on somebody like him with high standards.

I have had my children in this school for the last 2 years - the principal Mr. Snyder, is always walking around the school and attends all events. He is extremely involved and exceedingly approachable. The teachers, for the most part, seem nice as well and seem willing to work with you. I particularly like the Kinder teacher Mrs. Root.

This is a great school. My daugther attended 1st grade this year at Del Lago and she had a great time. She improved in each of her subjects and she made some great friends. She had a great teacher who supported her and truely cared for her. This school has a great principal and office staff. We are looking forward to next year.
